He did make the grid for the sprint but crashed out on Lap 1 at Island Hairpin and the car was too damaged to carry on!

There was contact between John and Stephen Wood at Island. Certainly Stephen's car had big tyre marks on it. John's car (and John himself) were too battered to make the feature, unfortunately.

So what is "Jet"? They used to sponsor a DTM MB team many years back?

Jet is a petrol company. I spoke to them about sponsorship in the BTCC back in '99, but at that time they were focused on TV ad's based around 'best prices'. But now I think they want to position themselves as a 'bigger' petrol brand based around opening/re-branding more filling stations.
In anycase, well done John for capturing them. |

Anyone got any images of the guilty evidence on the front left of the Mitsubishi?

Sorry, no photographic evidence of the front left wing of the Mitsubishi - I thought it was somewhat rude to go barging into the team's awning to take photos especially as there was the possibility/likelyhood of an official visit around that time...!
