#15 tkm 4/ should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
TKM festival

So who is doing the fesitval? What class? (snr/jnr - 2/4)

Im going to try SNR 2/ this time as i consistantly am in the top 5 at super 1 in the 4/. So i thought i would see how i compare to the super 1 2/ drivers.

My aim is to be within a few tenths and make the elite final. Shouldnt be too hard really :P ooo i havnt ever drivern a 2/ before but im going on a test soon

i think youre gona be in for a shock. a lot more drivers in 2/ of course, which means a lot harder to come through the field, a lot harder to stay on, more good drivers and the pace gets so hot its silly. getting used to the kart won't be a problem for you though. good luck anyway, i should be there watching hopefully

My nephew is racing in Junior TKM 4, he is doing quite well in S1 so far this year. Look out for no. 99.

I can't make it until the Saturday evening so will be cheering him on on the Sunday.

Yes it is indeed, I believe that he is around 5th now in the series. He wasn't too quick around Kimbolton last time out though, we was cutting lumps out of his Jade chassis trying to stop it from understeering!!!!

Well done, my nephew Sean was also on the receiving end of some contact through out the weekend! After being punted out at the first corner of the final (Junior TKM 4's) he fought back to 14th with the third fastest race lap, quicker even than the overal winner!

Sam I saw your B final which you came 3rd in. Well done.

the crash at turn 1 of the final for Junior 4 / made it much more easier for my best friend and who runs me (Kieran) to win. I thought it would be bloody difficult to win from 5th but he was fast all weekend and drove exactly how you need to, if you wish to win. I think he won by like a few thousands of a second. Ollie managed to catch him as his tyres went off at the end..

Did anyone see the Senior 4 / final as well? A shame Paul didn't win. He defended very well. I thought the Belgium guy was doing something dodgy on the Saturday considering the distance he won in the heats coming from like half a lap down to win by nearly half a lap. But atleast in the final it was close.

And in the Junior elite race, did anyone see the marshal get hit on the front straight? I thought he had a broken leg.

Luke, Kieren did drive really well especially after being passed on the penultimate lap into turn 1, I was filming (Sean) just after the exit of that corner and caught Oliver's move on tape. Kieron must have grabbed it back up the top end of the circuit which I missed . I haven't played the footage back yet but I believe that Sean was caught up in Tom Truscott's spin.

I missed the nasty crash involving the marshall but found it worrying that they stand on the inside of the circuit with NO protection at that point, there were also a number of obsevers standing there unprotected.

The Belgium guy didn't sound too popular amongst the paddock due to his speed although his winning celebration, hands and feet in the air was quite comical, we was waiting for the post celebration penalty!

Had a torrid weekend overall tbh. Started 20th in the B Final, just got my head down and tried to get on with it, ended up 10th, with similar pace to the guys in 3rd and 4th, so if I'd maybe been a bit nastier in the early laps it might have worked out. At least in the B Final I got a decent race.

Final of the day award goes to the Junior Festival. 4 guys swapping positions constantly (and I was cheering for the 2 Scots all the way ).

That marshal crash happened literally right in front of me, as I was standing at the braking point for Stow. Knowing my luck though, I was looking the wrong way at the time! Just saw this kart spinning across my vision on the inside grass and thought "WTF?!" looked to my right and he was on the ground. Me and a couple of other spectators were actually shouting at him and another pusher earlier in the race to get back from the track (they were right on the edge of the concrete apron!) and stop supporting "their" drivers and get on with doing the job properly. He was looking the wrong way at the time of the crash because his driver was already taking Stow and he had his back to the oncoming out-of-control kart! Doubt he'll learn his lesson, but hopefully HKRC will look at the safety aspect around that area of the track.
