Contest Note:

In case the race is shortened due to rain and does not go the full 250 laps, here is how I have scored the milestones section:

Let's say that the race goes 162 laps and Wheldon is declared the winner...

Anyone who lists him as the leader on lap 200 and Lap 250 will get credit for having him as the leader at those milestones, since he will have won the race...

If the event would go the Minimum number of laps to be a "complete" race (126) and Wheldon wins, anyone who has him listed at laps 150, 200 and 250 would get credit for the two points...

I hope that makes sense...

Thanks!

Since Qualifying got rained out, they set the grid based on combined practice times.

Just a Note:

I am generous in this contest....If your "Just Missed Pick" endede up in the Top three Rows, I gave you a point....I felt that you earned it.

AlwaysFirst had a big session in this section.

He picked Helio for the Pole and was closest to the actual Pole speed, plus the bonus points for 6 pts. off the top.

AlwaysFirst also had five of the Top Six, with Helio and Marco in the correct spots for 7 more points.

Tim, DrDisque & Flavinha had five picks with none actual for 5 pts each, and marcus & OpenWheel had four wit none actual for 4 pts. each

All but marcus & Flavinha had Buddy Lazier as the slowest qualifier for 2 pts each

Tim was Closest to the slowest speed for that qualifier

No one had Kanaan picked for the "Just Missed," but Tim (Sharp), DrDisque (Wheldon), and Flavinha (Marco) each got a point for having a "Top Six" pick that was not 7th, but in the "Top Seven"

Points after "Qualifying" as we go to tomorrow night's race:

1. AlwaysFirst - 15 Pts.
2. Tim - 12 pts.
3. DrDisque - 8 pts.
4. Flavinha - 6 pts.
(tie) OpenWheel - 6 pts.
6. Marcus - 4 pts.

Good Luck Tomorrow Night!!!

Pray that it doesn't get rained out, because this race is usually VERY entertaining!!!

Your picks were quite good this weekend, AlwaysFirst!!!

I'm just hoping that they run the race tomorrow....

The weather forecast looks bad for the east Coast both tomorrow and Sunday, and they go to Kansas the following weekend....

I think we all would have done better if they would have had actual qualifying, though...I think Dixon and some others had more speed to show, but didn't get the chance.....

But your picks were excellent, and they have set a very good tone for your weekend thus far.

Congrats!

Alwaysfirst should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Thanks Tim. In a kind of horribly selfish way I almost hope the race doesn't get run. It would be my first weekend win!

Then again we would miss a good race & I do need to give you lot the chance to catch up with me!

Well that was rubbish for me! Now if only I'd managed to predict that Hornish would read the most laps ever in an IRL race........
