Well bestrep a lot of people are bothered so I guess you'll not be back to this thread then.
Good to see the Irish/British contingent taking the competition to the Europeans. shhh as long as you don't post press releases feel free to provide your info. |

It's good to get updates on 'our' drivers that venture into pastures new. People have been calling for more British and Irish drivers to go into Europe to compete so it's good to keep in touch with progress when they do.

Cheers for all the positive feedback. George has some new technology coming his way which will enable very quick downloading of in car footage. I hope to be able to post this during the events

George and team have arrived in Austria!
The team has landed
Friday afternoon and southern Austria is a tranquil oasis bathed in sunshine. Minutes after the Irish department set foot in the country a massive thunderstorm hits and the track and paddock are running with water. The place looks like Mondello Park in November! We don't believe the two facts are related. Tony Bardy has joined the Tracey squad this weekend in a "management' role, but has managed to get his hands dirty already. More tomorrow, including tales of Badgers… Parc ferme 5pm Friday [IMG][/IMG] Essential Supplies [IMG][/IMG] |

More progress
It’s another new track for the team and that means new lessons to learn. “I think we’re making progress but this is a completely different track from Hungary. The first corner is ballsy, and I’m having difficulty finding the line in the bend that comes off the gravel but we’ll get there,” said Tracey. Meanwhile the team was beside itself with joy to discover that the building next to the paddock is a nightclub and has described the arrangement as ‘perfect’. [IMG][/IMG] 21st at the end of day one At the end of the first day of the Austrian ERC round, George Tracey is laying in 21st place after a tough first heat. After making a good start, Tracey managed to pass two cars in the first two corner and was with the race leader entering the third turn where a nudge from the third placed car sent the Peugeot 307CC WRC wide. In an instant the gains were lost and Tracey was left to make his recovery. The Irishman fought off Russian Rustam Minnikhanov in the ex-Hansen Citroën C4 and closed on Hungarian Gyorgy Fodor to finish third in the race, but the first lap incident cost valuable time. During the timed qualifying Tracey was again happy that the team is making progress. “I was in the 42s, a high 41. That’s okay, I’m happy if we can stay there. The starts are better but now I’m beginning to feel the lack of power, we’re probably about 100bhp down because the car still has a lot of rally components on the engine,” Tracey said. |

They better put some drops of Poit*n in his tank to make the "red frog" going faster...

shhh, I asked how the 307's wheelbase compares to other cars especially Larsson's which appears to be quite short. What do you know?
