Well done to all the new record holders. Wish we could've been there! As I said we loved Anglesey on our one and only visit there (incidentially the dates in the table above slighty out for Scott's records - the one meeting he did was the first weekend in April 2009). Would be lovely to come back next year. Great venue!

Its great to see there is interest, all round, regarding lap records.

David Mac edged us for the outright Anglesey lap record (and in clear air...) , if only the rear roll bar stayed connected!

Does anyone have a Class B lap record for Oulton International?
I have gone as far back as 2006, but all I have is in '08 Graham Carroll did a 1.47.793, and Willsy did that 47.3!

James, I don't know what the Oulton Class B record. Diz is probably the person best placed to know.

The Mondello National record is on their web site as being held by David Wright at 57.76 for the 1.85km circuit. That record was set prior to 2010 when the records were last updated. ff1600 has not run there very often in recent years so it is likely the record still stands. I cannot find any new records for the class.

I suspect David Wright was driving a Mondial at that time but have no evidence other than memory.

Scott Malvern set fastest lap on what was his race debut. I attended this race. He was up to 2nd place & actually reeling in winner Neville (Smythe) in when unfortunately he was forced to retire with a clutch problem. I remember at that time the circuit commentator saying he was only 2 tenths shy of the lap record so that must have been around 57.7 at that time. The archive results are all there if someone wishes to wade through them to check if the record was lowered later on in '09.

A further lap record to add is the Silverstone GP circuit (using the Club chicane that is bypassed at HSCC meetings). The record for this goes to Oliver White (Van Diemen RF01) with a time of 2:21.822 (92.91 mph) set on the 26/4/14.

The Oulton times are out of date. David McArthur did a 1:03.4 I think around Fosters in April and Cieran Haggerty has done a 1:47.2 on the international circuit.

Yes, race laps only as is the accepted motorsport convention.

Kipper, I know. I haven't deleted Sam's record, merely replaced it for the moment until I can add the second Arena GP layout via Excel.

I think a 61.8 was actually on the cards but a back marker spoilt it! Scott broke the Brands GP record by 7/10ths as well back in August on the above list set at The Bert Ray Trophy.

With 2015 coming to an end, the year has seen a lot of new FF1600 lap records set, including at all three Silverstone layouts (by three different drivers all in Ray chassis).

There were also new LRs at Castle Combe and Donington International, while Jonny McMullan went under the record at Oulton International in qualifying but couldn't replicate that pace in race conditions. Here's the updated table in full:
