Liuzzi or Klien

Another three races will have pased so Red Bull will decide again who will drive the second car. Will it be Klien or Liuzzi.

I guess they'll swap again. No reason why not continue with the policy. I don't see them chosing one for the rest of the season on the performances. If they do and chose Liuzzi then they'll say so this time, presumably. If it is Klien then I guess they can say they are doing at another three races.

I think Klien has done enough to deserve a proper drive this season - this inter-team politicking seems a bit dodgy to me...

I also am of the opinion that Klien has been the better, if it's due to the extra experience, then fine, if I were Horner, or whomever is making the decision, Klien would have the 2nd seat for the rest of the year.

First, it's in their contracts that Klien and Liuzzi swap cars every three races (as far as I believe), so it should be Klien's turn soon.

Klien has been more impressive than Liuzzi so far this season. Klien deserves to get the rest of the season.

However, no doubt Red Bull are considering this an evaluation phase in both their careers and will continue to rotate them during this season.

Trouble for Christian is, Liuzzi is a favourite of Horners.

Liuzzi's performance at Barcelona was quite disappointing, but his debut at Imola was impressive - certianly better than any drive Klien put together as a rookie. For now, continuing to alternate the drivers is the right move, especially if it's dictated in the contracts. Tonio undoubtedly has more long-term potential, and that's where RBR are looking.

I agree they should keep alternating, as Boots says Liuzzi did well at Imola, but Klien was excellent in the first three races as well. I suppose its a nice 'problem' for Red Bull to have, with three contracted drivers all performing well. At least until they have to decide who drives next season...

I was under the impression that it had already been decided. Martin Brundle is already hasseling Tesco, ASDA, Morrissons etc to see if they have any test shelf stacker options available.

If it is indeed Red Bulls' intention to run Klien and Liuzzi next season, then I certainly understand them wanting to give Tonio some race experience. If he performs well at Monaco and scores points, as Klien had been doing, then the risk to Red Bulls' position in the constructors standings by alternating drivers is lessened considerably. I suspect this is their optimistic plan. Hopefully it works out for them. I haven't yet decided about that Star Wars livery though. I'd rather see a wookie on the side of the car.

If i was them i would go with Klien because of his expirience. then again Luizzi does have some sheer raw speed.

I think Klien suffered greatly last year from being plonked straight into the car without any real chance to gain vital experience - this year he has improved quite a bit, and I think that Liuzzi would stand to gain more from testing and being kept out of the limelight in the long run. And so would Red Bull, conversely.
