It is interesting to hear that the evo kit will just be to reduce body weight. I wonder how overweight they were?

I'm not sure the Ginetta is available to buy as a new car anymore is it? They had a falling out with a few partners and the LMP3 isn't listed on their site anymore - just the G57.

Last I heard was they will sell you a rolling chassis if you really want one, but you will have to sort out the drivetrain yourself. I think one of the fallings out may have been with ORECA, who prepare the engines.

I don't think I made that up. Maybe.

Insane. Driving a machine like this up the Peak. Would be even more so of the top was still dirt!

A little LESS wing, actually - if the rendering is accurate they're completely removing the bottom element near the bodywork.

There's a lot more going on with the new version's front splitter, though.

Yes indeed. Definitely want in stuck to the tarmac.

That splitter looks like a wing! If he does go off, he may be able to glide back to the starting line

And with it being a Pikes Peak special on the new 'improved' course, every bit of wing/df you can get is great. Top speed isn't that high but cornering is crucial and small wings don't really work at 10-15k of elevation (3-4.5k m in the new math). I miss the older kit cars and white knuckle viewing with the tail out gravel driving, and extra terrible ESPN cable access show style coverage.

Apparently it was too quick that it literally disappeared from the face of the Earth...

Honestly I didn't have much hope of seeing it after all those constant delays and setbacks

He might've said it, but it isn't true. 6 seconds off pole at Sebring and Barber. The Norma is around the same as the Ligier, but the Riley is miles off in any competition so far.

Not a very inspired choice of driver, though. So at least some of that gap might not be due to the car, but the talent behind the wheel.

Murphy is too busy Not paying staff and suppliers from the last couple of years. Hopefully not seen again.
