Help w/Mystery Uprights
I'm hoping to find someone who can identify front suspension uprights with the letters/numbers:
MMR HO F276 1040 I'm inclined to believe these are possibly from a 1976 F2 car, but not certain. Many Thanks! |

John, I'll take a look today and post back. There are very few markings on the one, none on the other.
My front uprights are Ralt and have a similar nut on the spindle though not welded. The design is the spindle rotates with the bearings and is not part of the upright like a road car would be. |

Interesting. It's the MMR designation that I suspect represents the manufacturer. Another person suggested mine may be ralt. Someone else said March, which is very similar but not correct.

Thank you for that.
Interesting similarities as mine rotates with the bearing as yours does and the shape of the casting has similarities on the back side. The welded nut on mine is for ease of assembly (torque). Someone else suggested mine are possibly ralt. We will see. |

You may know this already, but a good place to visit is Racecarsdirect.com
There you will find a section in 'Categories' pages of classic race car suspension and lots of uprights. You may spot some for sale the same as yours and so identify them? ! Just had a look though the 7 pages on suspension, nothing like yours! Also, a good info source is Dermot Healy demothealy@btinternet.com He has been trading race car parts for decades and my help you identify the uprights. Agree on racecarsdirect.com, but noteworthy that I also posted the inquiry there and received one reply within hours. It was an attempt to scam me for $900. Didn't fall for it.
