Rescue Training - Donington Park - 19th January 2014
I’m trying to get ahead with notification of the BMMC Midland Region Training dates for January 2014. Thanks to the support of Donington Park Circuit and financial assistance from the BMSTT, we can now plan for a Rescue Training day at Donington on Sunday 19th January 2014.
Please take this as your invitation; why not book your place now. All volunteering this year is being done on-line. Please go to http://tolu.na/15f9Ey1 and complete the details requested. (On-line volunteering not only saves postage or phone calls but gives me useable electronic data to make lists and print volunteering forms etc.) The overall format will incorporate many of the features of previous years but if you have any comments or suggestions they would be very welcome. ASSESSMENTS: I’m not aware of any Donington crew who will need an assessment but if that is incorrect, make sure you complete the volunteering form appropriately. (I’m happy to organise an assessment run for anyone else if we can put together a minimum number – talk to me.) Any queries please get in touch but to book your place, go to http://tolu.na/15f9Ey1. Regards Jim Whitaker m.training@marshals.co.uk |

Names coming in well but room for a few more. Several different units coming for the day.
We will be having quite a lot of emphasis on medical side, including practical moulages, as well as hydraulic tool use and techniques. Several assessment runs (trainees as well as re-licencing) in case you need to get that out of the way. Jim |

Jim,
I really hope you get some volunteers. They tried to persuade me to do "rescue" a long while ago, but having a huge "needle phobia" and fainting at the sight of my own blood, I gave it a miss! Now I've got over all of that, alas I'm not in a position to offer my services. So, to anybody out there looking at this or thinking about it, I would say: Go For It! |

Thanks Shelagh, things seem to be OK for the day.
See you around. Jim |
