The car looks to be one from the early 90's DTM series. It should have a 3litre straight-six cylinder engine in with about 450bhp in.

Hope thats some help

As far as I remember, the rear wheel arches were open - not half covered as in this picture. Except for the rims (design) the rest of the car looks like the real deal.

Perhaps, this is a slightly modded ex-DTM car?

You're definitely right about the rear arches-

In '92 Italian Touring Car Championship there was a white Omega like that one, it was run by Greyhound, driven by Massimo Pigoli, and it was an ex Eggenberger DTM car.
It was too big and too slow and so their program stopped in the middle of the season... the best result was a 6th place in the opening round at Monza, while Pigoli ranked 14th in the final classification.. also this one had the rear wheel arches open

Some links of DTM Opel Omega 's in 1991:

The car of your picture looks line an 1991 version, except for the rear wheel arches and the little rear window (closed instead of "open")

I swear it looks like a road car! none of the pictures so far show the covered arches though the road car had them.
Do racing cars having winding/electric windows on the front doors and isnt that a sunroof
