Should be interesting. Seeing how much night racing is done over here, I think it will be fine. And the spectacle should be very interesting. Plus, we'll be doing it before F1!

But sadly on one of the worlds most boring tracks. They should have done this at Assen.

But hell, it'll still be pretty interesting.

Quite true Knowlesy. Assen would have been a perfect choice. The atmosphere would have been great.

FPV GTHO should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I had a bit of a laugh when i first saw the headline on Autosport. F1 has been toying with the idea since Melbourne, with the rumours of certain tracks having future contracts linked to holding night races, and certain Asian tracks bending over for Bernie and saying they'll hold one, and seemingly out of nowhere MotoGP goes and confirms they'll do one of their own, and beat F1 to the punch whilst theyre at it.

I think they choose the perfect track, as the spectators will not be compromised (as they are non existant at Qatar)...

There isn't tax evasion because there isn't tax altogether , that is

I would be interested in Bernie's taxing procedure (if "procedure" were the right word here)

well, I guess I'll be the first and come out with the opinion that I think that racing at night on bikes is a stupid idea, but then so is having a MotoGP race in a country with squat-all interest/history of bike racing only because there is a shedload of money involved and in the end, its just a PR job for the country and Bernie and ilk are more than happy to take in their dough. Me, cynical, never.

I sure as hell wouldn't want to racing on a bike with perhaps funny shadows etc, I can only equate it to night skiing (downhill) that my friends and I used to do sometimes--it had its advantages, ie they would regroom the hill and there were a few people, so we would often do bonzai runs, but going fast with night lighting is kinda weird. Sure, I used to drive fast at night on my street bikes, and yes, 24 hr races do happen, and yes, the lighting will most likely be over the top in terms of proper coverage, but I still feel that it will be a little more dangerous with such things as light spillage or "flare" perhaps being in riders eyes in certain corners from the lights of other corners, and the weirdness of lit areas and everything else completely black.

just my gut feeling folks, will have to wait and see, but I am sure that some of the GP guys are feeling the same aprehension, its them out there on two wheels for the benefit of a publicity stunt/gimmick/programming thing. (and can you imagine the cost of setting up lighting for an entire circuit, big bucks!)

Ban the wings in MotoGP!! That's the solution, how they cannot see it.
