The ultimate racing circuit corners questionaire?
This is a questionaire on racing circuit corners?
1. What do you think is the best corner in the world? 2. What do you think is the worst corner in the world? 3. What do you think is the most overated corner in the world? 4. What do you think is the most underated corner in the world? 5. What do you think is the best corner name? 6. What do you think is the worst corner name? 7. If a there is a corner with no name (eg. turn 8) what would you call it? |

This questionnaire should go to those who drive these tracks. Apart from having ridden shotgun a lap of Spa on a Wednesday before the race in the early 1990s in a road car (I was still too young to drive myself then), my only other "experiences" come from onboard cameras. And onboard cameras don't transport g-forces into your living room, otherwise you'd need good setups for your sofa on each race weekend
 so personally, I could never say what corners are over- and underrated.

Well, that won't be a lot of use because in most games neither the way the cars handle nor the corners themselves are accurate enough to make a real assessment.
I can imagine though that my answers would be something like this if I were a well travelled racing driver: 1. Spoon Curve, Suzuka 2. Mercedes Arena, Nurburgring 3. the old Tamburello, Imola 4. McLaren/Clearways/Clark Curve, Brands Hatch indy circuit 5. 130R 6. Club (on whatever circuit it is used on) 7. dunno, probably leave it without a name |

2. What do you think is the worst corner in the world? New 300R @ Fuji or the Indy double hairpin section 3. What do you think is the most overated corner in the world? These days, in an F1 car, Eau Rouge 4. What do you think is the most underated corner in the world? Pouhon 5. What do you think is the best corner name? Too many to choose from 6. What do you think is the worst corner name? Most sponsored corners 7. If a there is a corner with no name (eg. turn 8) what would you call it? Whatever it was called before |

This question is tough. Real tough, but I think the best corner in the world, is Cascades at Oulton Park. 2) What do you think is the worst corner in the world? Indy Double Hairpin 3) What do you think is the most overated corner in the world? 130R 4) What do you think is the most underated corner in the world? Tabac, Monaco 5. What do you think is the best corner name? Sainte Devote, Monaco 6. What do you think is the worst corner name? Like James, most sponsored corner names. 7. If a there is a corner with no name (eg. turn 8) what would you call it? It depends on the corner really. In the case of turn 8, I dunno - something Turkish; Bazaar or something. |

2. What do you think is the worst corner in the world? Indy hairpins 3. What do you think is the most overated corner in the world? The last section in Magny-Cours 4. What do you think is the most underated corner in the world? Champions wall 5. What do you think is the best corner name? Peraltada 6. What do you think is the worst corner name? Pangkor Laut in Sepang 7. If a there is a corner with no name (eg. turn 8) what would you call it? I would call it after the most famous or/and the most successful driver from the country , where the circuit is located. |

1. What do you think is the best corner in the world? The Boschkurve at the Osterreichring was the best but I think it is now Eau Rouge.

I must thank you all for your replys on the underated question put in your answers on my most underated corner thread.
Also I love to hear about other peoples views as i am learning how to design racing circuits and would love to make an ultimate track if i do in the future love you to come to it. |
