Whats next reserve if the Norma doesnt show up , and the Pescarolo 03 and possibily the 2 Luxury 458 ?
Although , I reckon the Luxury debacle will be sorted by then . Last I remember the reserve list is kinda small after some pull outs . |

reserve list is already looking empty, we might end up with a few empty garages

IMSA's other regulars (Narac, Armindo) are already committed to their 'Am' car, so if the 'Pro' entry gets in, unless Porsche can help by lining up a couple of factory drivers in the car, then maybe they'll end up selling the seats... |

Still a few twists and turns to come on the entrylist I think.
Also worth noting in this thread that Toyota need to bring in a new driver after Ishiura's back issues. |

Were I the IMSA Matmut team manager I'll have Tandy(very promising last year with Felbermayr, just as fast as factory drivers) and Ragginger(Falken's 3rd driver and one of those few people with 2012 RSR endurance experience) with Pilet in the PRO car.
Anyway, sounds like Al Faisal is interested in ProSpeed's AM seat, the third driver is likely to be Soulet. http://endurance-info.com/version2/a...nce-10633.html |

I'd say this clears up most of the questions surrounding the top Porsche entries

I can see the rulebook being very quickly thrown out the window if the ACO sniffs that there's a likelihood that the entry will be undersubscribed - and equally see there being a few teams that could spin something up reasonably quickly. If we're looking for precedent the arrival of the second Epsilon Euzkadi in 2008 should be illustrative. |

Lamy? As in Pedro? Odds on for a seat in one of the Larbre vettes I'd think.
I'd have Tandy in the car at least, Im impressed by what I've seen from him. Cant see empty garages happening, the ACO will definitely see to that. |

Good news for Extreme Limite: according to DSC, even if the chassis crashed at Spa is beyond repair in time for Le Mans, Norma has a spare chassis available, so hopefully they should still be in the race.

That's good to hear- I did wonder whether Extreme Limite would be able to get the car up and running again in time- with Norma being a small manufacturer, I'd guessed they might not carry the kind of spares inventory that a Lola or Oreca customer might have access to. On the other hand, with Extreme Limite being their only LMP2 customer at present, they do have the advantage of being #1 in the queue for any help needed from the factory in terms of parts, spare chassis etc.

According to Autosport, there's another name in the frame for a drive at Le Mans with Murphy Prototypes: Dean Stoneman.

That's come fairly out of left field- Stoneman was F2 Champion in 2010, and hoped to progress to Formula Renault 3.5 for 2011, but was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the beginning of last year and ended up having to drop out of racing while he had treatment. I'd heard a couple of reports in the UK press that he was looking to get back into a drive this year. I think he's been doing a bit of club racing recently to keep his hand in, and tested for Andretti in Indy Lights a couple of months back.

According to the ACO website, the Extreme Limite Norma did not suffer any tub damage in the crash at Spa, so that should put any worries about that entry out of the question.

Good news on both scores- by my reckoning then, unless anyone has a big shunt at the test day, the only entries that might have an obvious question mark over them might be the cars caught up in the Pescarolo/Luxury dispute, and the JMB Ferrari which withdrew from Spa, and which there seems to be little news on at present.
On the other hand, they're an ELMS rather than WEC entry, so maybe there's no need to read anything into the Spa withdrawal- After all, they turned up to the Ricard ELMS race with two cars, rather than the originally-entered one, so the lack of news on this one is just a case of 'no news is good news', and they'll roll up to the test day with Rodrugues and either some combination of the drivers who appeared at Ricard, or a couple of French paying drivers, without any prior announcement. |

Status only pulled out of Spa because they didn't want to raid their Le Mans spare parts by rebuilding the car after that crash and risking something else on race day.
