Heard an interesting story over the weekend that Glenn Seton may find himself in a Subaru for the 12 Hour.

Seto in a Suby?......that's good news......I'm looking forward to this race with the variety of machines......and a few more drivers like Seto would add to the event.

Will that be with Jim Hunter, since Bowe is driving with Gary Holt?

Also Garth Walden will be entering a Holden VE SS, i'm hoping this car will upset many of the front running cars as done this year.

Doubt it! They finished 11 laps behind the winner in ninth and their fastest lap was some 7.1 seconds slower.

A HSV VE Clubsport might - but not an SS.

In this years race, there was only 1 HSV that finished above the Waldens and that was a VE Clubsport, which was only 3 laps ahead. The VZ SS was only 3 - 5 secs a lap slower than the quickest HSV's and in 2008 they did a 2:35 in qualifying, which was the same time as the VE SS sportswagon in 2008, driven by fancy V8 supercar drivers.
The VE SS should be quicker given the extra grunt from the 6.0 V8. The Waldens are still good for a top 5/10 position with potentially 40/45 odd cars behind them at the finish,
Talking to Garth, he said to me that they believe that they can knock off most of the HSV's, FPV's and Evo's. The Waldens know how to build a reliable and strong car. Its more than having the quickest car, you need to have good consistent co drivers, efficient pit crew, wise strategy and a reliable car.
At the chequered flag they finished on the same lap as Holty's BMW 335, they beat the Hill Evo X, Donut King HSV, Holden Motorsport HSV VE,v 2 x Pro duct Evo X's to name a few, they are all more fancied front runners.

Spot on. Anybody heard anything about Steve Briffa's plans for the 12 Hour?

No HSV's so far? I find that hard to believe.

How do you reckon the Factory Mazda RX8SP would go if it was elligible to run?

Just reading the December B12 hour newsletter. They have released a provisional entry list, but the link from the newsletter doesn't seem too work, does anyone know of the list?

They have also released a list of drivers looking for a drive & Luke Searle's name is on it, guessing no BMW 135i from the Searle family.

1 x Osborne Celica is available for lease.

Some interesting drivers looking for drives and cars to lease.

Also reading that Dean Herridge will saddle up with Jim Hunter in the STI, and the second WRX is for Warren Bossie & Glen Featherstone. Third drivers not confirmed yet.

I have a suspicion they might be better off with the 6 MPS. If it rains they'll be better off than the 3.

Only one WRX next year, I think the drivers are TBA at this stage, and I believe the team won't be utilising the services of crashers after the 2009 experience...

Australian rally driver Dean Herridge will compete in the 2010 Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour in February.

Herridge will partner Subaru Impreza STi car owner Jim Hunter in the Johnson Window Films entry in the ‘once around the clock’ race.

The team will announced its third driver in the coming weeks.

Greg Murphy Racing is aiming at entering three Evo's.
- Evo X, (Peter Hill car),
- Evo VIII, (Gary Young car)
- Evo IX, ?
Alfa Romeo looking at entering both diesels again and
Richard Gartner looking for co drivers to drive his new Renault Clio 197.

Crashers?...are these the same guys who asked for their money back before race start because they were so disgusted with car prep and set-up?...or was that the other WBR car?

Anybody got the funds to run an Audi A4Tdi quattro?
Guaranteed class win and might do top 10 if the very long stints worked out with safety cars or it got a bit wet.
Jag XF tdi might be interesting as well.
Maybe an "index of performance" based on carbon footprint could be a great promotion gimmick for the event and get it wider media coverage.

There was nothing wrong with the prep or set-up of any of the WBR cars when driven correctly. ie: driven like a production car, not a purpose built sportscar. It is very easy to blame a car for poor performance when it isnt yours....

Turbo Diesel Golf would be my pick, you could even be lazy and go the DSG gearbox.
