alternate fuels need to be encouraged

Group A being Turbos-charged High-Powered Coupes & Sedans Group B being V8 powered Sedans Group C: Whatever you want to bring, BMW's, Honda Integras... Super 2000 regs basically. and a Corolla class to bring up the rear + a mixed bag class of Mini's, utes, Mirages... Aternate Fuels cars NOT ALLOWED.
You out of step on alternate fuels Parra?

Team Aon has confirmed that it is evaluating the possibility of switching to LPG power for the 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

The Arena-run outfit will test its Ford Focus at the Guadix circuit in Spain early next month with the latest specification Ford Duratec petrol engine, but will also try out LPG ahead of a possible switch for the year ahead.

“We've considered an alternative fuel source and are currently evaluating a switch to LPG to see if there are possibilities for us,” team boss Mike Earle said. “Given the increasing awareness of environmental issues, which motorsport in general needs to address, and the commercial opportunities that may exist, it makes sense for us to investigate the possibilities. It's certainly something we would be interested in.”

Ingall, pretty and Jones ran 223 laps last year in if I remember correctly an SS.
Still if they have the basis of the story right it's great to see it back and that's a pretty strong team.

Talk that Pro duct team will include Seton, Crompton, Bargwanna, King, and Pearson plus another unamed driver.

Leanne Tander to join Terry Conroy and Gerry Burgess in Integra

Paul Stubber to join Barry Morcom with Nathan Morcom in the mix to drive 335i BMW.

GRM to enter three cars. HSV (most likely HSV VZ from last year), Evo IX and Hill Evo X.

Drivers for Evo IX include John O'Dowd, Jim Pollicina, Simon Middleton, and the HSV, Robert Wilson, Geoff Emery & English sportscar driver Maurizio Fabris. I'm wondering whether enews the correct driver pairings for the cars.

Briffa is driving in the "Proddies" and unlikely to be involved in the 12 hour.

That's a real shame. I was looking forward to seeing Briff have a go...maybe the V8 Calendar stuffed up his plans with the Holdsworth thing. Maybe he'll enter the 6-Hour at EC in July. As for the 12 Hour, there's always next year for Briff.

Couldn't open the speedcafe link...what is the driver line up for the Holden Sportswagon and which class will it run in?

Looks like another EVO-benefit. Shame there is no decent HSV entries but the FPV entries look good.

Any news on the Hyundai's or Proton in the Production-Small class?

Also, heard that Quinn boys are leaving their decision to race in the event until later this week...they better hurry up!!!

The HSV sportwagon will run in Class B with Russel Ingall, Cam McConville and Nathan Pretty behind the wheel of the shopping cart.

Anyone heard about the Keogh HSV's? as Briffa raced with them last year.

No word on the Hyundai's or Proton. Allan Shephard may be entering his Celica if he can get a third driver.

HSV looks good for the Sportswagon. Probably toss of the coin between preference for either Pretty or A.Jones.
I, too, was wondering about the Keogh HSV's. Maybe haven't the finances to run the race this year?
As for Allan Shephard, will he enter his BMW as well?

Probably looking at between 40-45 starters for the start on Feb 14.

Maybe Rob Wilson raced in Australia during the years ago Formula Pacific Series - but if he did not then this will be Super Coach Rob's first visit to Australia!

AFAIK, Shep will have both BMWs entered.
Keoghs.... who knows. They haven't rocked up to the couple of rounds of the Production Cars despite saying they would.
I think Briff will be back for the Championship, just not the 12Hour.

Isn't Rob Wilson and ex-pat Kiwi or Aussie?

I spoke with Allan this week and yes, both 130is will be there. The ex-Searle car has had a pretty comprehensive rebuild after its shunt at the creek.

No mention of the silly-car.

As far as I know I am only re-fueling the 2 BMW's. The celica hasn't been mentioned and this was as of friday last week.
