Marshals Track Day at Brands Hatch

As some of you may be aware, Jonathan Palmer has offered a series of FREE track days to marshals as a way of thanking us for our hard work throughout the year.

The first Track Day is to be held at Brands Hatch on Tuesday 14th December 2004. Anyone who would like further details please e-mail me at s.c.green@btinternet.com

I would ask as many of you as possible to take advantage of this fabulous offer. There are 106 places available for the Brands Hatch date which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Please note, this event is strictly for MARSHALS only. If you wish to bring your family along to watch that is fine, but please do not try to get anyone who is not a marshal onto the track day as this would jeopordise future events.

There are three other Track Days planned with the next being Cadwell Park on 11th February 2005. At the moment the dates for Snetterton and Oulton Park have yet to be finalised.

A fantastic opportunity, and a big vote of thanks to JP for this.
Unfortunately I cannot make the Brands date nor the Cadwell one (pity really as Cadwell is so close to home). Hopefully I'll be able to make Oulton (hopefully the date will co-incide with the school holidays).
Having done a few trackdays on various ciruits, all I'll say is take up this generous offer, and get ready for some serious fun!

Eric, Roger can drive anything, even the Discovery! If you want details e-mail me at the above address. All he needs is a current driving licence.

I'm glad you guys appreciate the offer. This has nothing to do with me asking, JP made the offer off his own volition, I'm just the secretary this time (and very happy to be so).

Lots of e-mails this evening but keep em coming guys and gals.......

The day has been offered exclusively for marshals as a 'thank you' by Jonathan Palmer and MSV. I guess the answer to your question is that if you have a MSA Marshals Licence you would be welcome. If however you are a driver who has done 1 days marshalling to gain a race licence signature, you really wouldn't qualify. Would that answer your question?

It is a great offer. For those marshals who live further north and can't make it down to JP's circuits can only hope that other circuits would follow suit.

A great idea but is this offer exclusively for MSA licence holders, what about those marshals who hold ACU licences are they included as well or will they be having separate days?

No they too are eligible.

There will be track days at Snetterton and Oulton Park but as yet dates haven't been agreed.

Can you go to more than one track day? Three out of the four tracks are all reasonably close to me, and I have marshalled at all of them throughout the year?

Hi Micky. Would love to come down on 11th Feb but would not be much fun in my little Fiat & my too far for my mexico as I'd need to carry a load of LRP. Plus don't have enough holidays left to get the day off, shame even if came to marshal it would have been a laugh.

If its offered in 2006 maybe I'll stand a chance.

Oh !
Looks like I'm going to have to tax the Se7en a bit earlier next year!

On second thoughts, Cadwell Park in February might be better suited to a rubber dingy

It does sound like a rare sign of appreciation for us, thanks JP.
