Listers

Is anybody interested in helping me compile a list of the original Listers? I have seen quite a few and there seems to info available left and right.

I presume Doug Nye's latest edition of Powered by Jaguar is among the "info available" you're talking about?

I have not gotten my hands on that yet, but owning several of his books, I'm sure its amazing. A quick glance through my records has resulted in a list of 12 cars with chassis number. Does anybody how many were produced approximately?

Buy DCN's book - it will tell you all you want to know.

If you are interested in Listers you must also buy "Archie and the Listers" by Robert Edwards, ISBN 1-85260 - 469-7. As it was published in 1995, the chassis information is not as up to date as Doug Nye's book, but it does cover the non-Jaguar engined cars and identifies some 50 + chassis.
The book is well worth reading as it tells the whole Lister story. In the year it came out it won an award as 'best motorracing book' or similar.

look at the number of Listers currently racing and divide by 2 and you have the number produced! There is a great story where Brian Lister once described someone as "the only man to have made more Listers than me!"
