1981 Le Mans 24Hr Programe on ebay

I thought I would put this here and not the armchair forum (but move it if you wish).
For Sale on ebay there is a programe from the 1981 Le Mans 24hr, it looks in good condition and with only 12 hrs left it is going for £4.20(GB pounds), ends at 20.34 british summer time.

If any one collects these programes not a bad buy!!!

ebay No. 2473810579 (sorry have'nt put a link to it)

I've always considered collecting things like this, especially programs, but I fear it can only get out of hand!

Try calling your model collection an investment, they seem to keep value very well. I'm afraid thanks to ebay my collection of Le Mans related items has grown somewhat (i.e. to the point of being a bit noticeable). Now, how do I keep my 10 month old sons hands (and teeth!) off them?

I'd like to collect a few more. I have all the programmes from my 18 visits (I had to buy the first 4-5 as I never bought them at the time). The older ones are better anyway - proper programmes not magazines. The blue programmes which petered out around 95/96 were my favourite.

I paid about a fiver apiece for the ones I bought from 86-89-ish about 8-9 years ago.

I'm kicking myself for not getting the Le Mans 1959 poster when experiencelemans.com had the reprint available. If anyone knows of where I might find one, let me know. (It's the painting of the drivers in full sprint toward the cars.)

Rob,
It may be worth your while bidding on a crash hat, come june you may need it!

But seriouly that is a great offer if real, I saw a britling bentley team watch on there a few weeks back, seemed very cheap and had no doc's with it, was tempted though.

Btw have you seen the price camping passes sell for on e.bay!
