Pedro de la Rosa linked to BAR for 2001

At the Monaco GP weekend, speculations surfaced linking Arrows driver, Pedro de la Rosa with a drive with the BAR team for the 2001 season.

It was said that he would replace Ricardo Zonta, who has not performed as well as team mate Jacques Villeneuve.

It is also speculated that a big driving force behind the signing of de la Rosa might be the Repsol sponsorship that accompanies the driver, especially in the light of BAR's sponsorship with Teleglobe, which will surely end at the end of the current season.

An interesting thought. Though I think Zonta still deserves a fair shake in a better car. Given BAR's inability to make anything of themselves and Arrows move forward I thinkj he should stay put

Leave my Rico at BAR until he finds his feet. He will be okay. He just needs time. Anyway I have heard that BAT wants a Brasilero in that seat because of the market in Brazil.

Pedro should stay at Arrows.

Not many people can perform as well as Villeneuve. Zonta needs a different team mate to be compered against.
