2016 25 Hours of Thunderhill

Almost time for Thunderhill again, we might as well have a thread for it.

Flying Lizard will be back to defend their 2015 win, with Darren Law and Johannes van Overbeek returning, this time joined by Dion Von Moltke and Ten-Tenths' own Mike Hedlund.
http://www.lizardms.com/news/releases/2016/oct-26.html

The rest of the entry list is here looks like the usual mix of LMP3s, home builts, Mazdas, old BMWs etc.

Looks like a Riley Daytona Prototype found a home post-IMSA,, bulletproof, they definitely have a solid chance to last the 25 hours on reliability.

It really is a great looking entry list. I love the mix of cars. It would be a great event to see in person one day. I hope it keeps this feel for years to come.

Love that they're bringing an old 2009 RSR out of the shop. I'd say the Toyo white and blue suits the Porsche pretty well.

I also thought that was pretty awesome. What I couldn't remember though was if that was originally a gt2 car or not?

Hi all! Owner of Endurance Radio here. We posted our coverage announcement yester which I'll quote here for you. Worth noting that we'll be live on YouTube this year (with a possible backup on Livestream), as well offering an audio-only service on Mixlr for the data-conscious.

Quote:
Endurance Radio is excited to announce details of its sixth straight year of live coverage from the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill presented by Hawk Performance. The annual endurance classic will be held from December 2-4, 2016 and feature over 27 hours of live coverage on Endurance Radio.

A full media team of eight will be present for this year, the largest ever brought to Thunderhill. Brendan Kaczmarek will join Joseph Mudrak and first-timer Randy Chenowth in the booth, while Tim Stoll, JT Tami, and Ryan West bring information from the pits and paddock. As always, Endurance Radio’s social media will be active promoting #nasa25hour throughout the 25 Hours on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram courtesy of Leila Kaczmarek and Christian Wilder. Our schedule will once again include live coverage of official practice and qualifying on Friday, December 2 at 4:30pm PST. Race coverage begins on Saturday, December 3 at 10:30am PST with live pre-race build up, with the race getting underway at 11:00am. From there, we’re live until the checkered flag at noon on Sunday, with post-race coverage to follow. Our schedule is as follows, with all times listed in PST:

Friday, December 2, 2016:
4:30pm-6:00pm – Practice & Qualifying (1h30m)

Saturday, December 3, 2016:
10:30am-11:00am – Pre-Race Coverage
11:00am – LIVE Coverage of the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill presented by Hawk Performance

Sunday, December 4, 2016:
12:00pm – Checkered Flag
12:00pm-12:30pm – Post-Race Coverage

There are exciting new changes coming to Endurance Radio’s Thunderhill broadcast in 2016, however. We are please to confirm that trackside streaming will return to Thunderhill with five cameras courtesy of RaceCast.me, while graphical overlays will use RaceHero provided data, all in an effort to bring Thunderhill its first fully produced and mixed live broadcast. Additionally, our pitlane team will finally have a live link back to the booth, allowing for live interviews and updates from the paddock as well as remote reports from around the circuit.

We have also modified our streaming service slightly. We are very excited to have moved our broadcast to YouTube, allowing for greater visibility and flexibility throughout the weekend. We will attempt to rebroadcast to Livestream for our dedicated followers there, but invite you to join us on at our new home on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLQ...yj4vq-oMDsF9ng

Additionally, we are providing an audio-only streaming option for those present at the track or other data-conscious fans of Thunderhill. Our primary audio stream will be hosted on Mixlr ( http://mixlr.com/endurance-radio/ ) with a rebroadcast stream on TuneIn. Both have available mobile apps.

Endurance Radio is proud to once again raise the standard of promotion and coverage of the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill presented by Hawk Performance. There is no doubt that Thunderhill is one of the finest endurance races worldwide, supported by the best community. We firmly believe that together with RaceCast’s video expertise and RaceHero.io’s phenomenal timing applet, Thunderhill represents the very best that the endurance racing community has to offer. We thank all of you for your support and hope to see you from December 2-4, 2016!

Of course, none of our coverage would be possible without support from our sponsors. Schaeffer Racing Oil and JFC Racing are proud video partners of Endurance Radio’s 2016 coverage. GuestDriver.com has also joined our program as a media partner as part of their Thunderhill debut. Hawk Performance has joined our program as well, with RaceFuelZ returning as a staple of both comic advertising relief as well as 4:00am emotional support. Please support our sponsors in return for their generosity in helping make our program possible:

Awesome news. This race has needed a livestream for years.

Is an archive of the stream in the plans as well?

A further three cars have been added to 25 Hour entry list.
A Lambo Gallardo with Tanner Foust like one of drivers.
Team Honda Research is coming back to the 25, this year with two turbo charged Honda Civics.
And sportscar ace Ryan Eversley will be in the JFC Racing MJ-V8 Wolf with teammates Al Unser Jr., Mike Jackson and Todd Harris.
