What happened to these 70-odd entrants that Ratel was boasting about for this series? He even named them in a pre-season entry list!

Over the years, something I have learnt not to do is trust what Ratel says.

Is it just me or does Ratel have more and more the look of a crazy man?

Yeah. I'd be surprised if the car wasnt ready, it seems they've tested it on several occasions.

Great to see the Mclaren on the list as well as a Z4. Will be interesting to see how the Mclaren goes in the race.

I'm the last one to escape a chance to have a go at Ratel, but credit where credit's due, 36 cars is about on par with the initial entry list produced in pre-season.

The entries may differ slightly, in particular none of the expected Mercedes' have shown, but mid-30s were the initial numbers suggested - the 70-odd list contained plenty of *s, which inferred cars that had only entered for Spa's 24 Hours.

Remains to be seen whether the entire grid will appear for Spa but I can't complain with the fields seen thus far and the racing at Monza was excellent, just what GT racing should be about; three hours and multiple classes (even if the second class only has six cars!).

Exactly, Im certainly not complaining about the Blancpain Endurance Series, really good racing at Monza as well. Probably my favourite GT3 championship along with ADAC Masters and VLN, and it reminds me of the good old days of FIA GT before they went to the sodding sprint races.

Agreed Graham, but it was a recent past that I miss plenty so wouldn't mind it coming back in this form. The eternal problem for this series will be if they insist on continuing with the European Championship as a separate entity.

Still, this is the Navarra thread, so will just add that I'm intrigued about this one, I don't know the circuit at all so hope it is at least half as good a race as Monza was.

With a large field of cars, I'm rather concerned at how things will go heading into that tightening sequence of opening turns with a bunched pack.

I'm interested to see the McLaren and how it goes, but compared to a number of other supercars out there, or even its own predecessor the F1, I find this McLaren's presence and appearance to be less than what I would have hoped.

Just in general, too many manufacturers have been taking too many styling cues from Lotus, Lamborghini, and the Ferrari Modena of late when it comes to their sports cars.

Live timing here http://static.sportresult.com/federa...lass=Blancpain

Race will be streamed live tomorrow. Motors TV also has the race but they will not show the entire race live due to FIA F3 Trophy at Pau.

Autosport mag in the uk, in the latest issue mclaren say 'we are in no rush' to roll out the mp4-12c. Also has it been homologated yet? So might not see it until the Silverstone round of Blancpain, 'maybe' a Spa 24H appearence The article also mentions a British GT appearance or 2
