Dougie should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Full engine rebuilt with a few more performance up-grades. More events planned for 2018 and a stronger motor will be needed.

Dougie, think you’re going to attract some ‘workshop envy’ after other tenthers see those photos!

Very nice, and all best wishes for 2018.

Just paid £71.00 on E Bay for RS 2000. dash loom. There was someone else out there after it.The price went to £70.00 with a few minuets to go, I said to my guys in the workshop "bid £90.00" but they kept their cool. All very exciting and expensive for a few bulb holders and a bit of wire. The loom arrived today and i am very happy its all complete with bulb holders and all.

I've now done a front suspension dry build on my Tornado, and added ARB mountings. Have also modified steering column from a spear aimed at the driver to a double UJ affair mounted on chassis and roll cage so it has a collapsible joint. nearly ready to send chassis for blasting and powder coating.

Uprated drive shafts and stub axles are all in hand, I picked up a set of tyres for £100 to get it moving . . . just need to decide on wheels . . . speaking to Les Weller tomorrow and may get him to make me a set of 5J steels using std herald centres, which is whats homologated. I don't make NY resolutions, but this car will (finally) get built soon! hopefully in the next few months

Winkelman Lotus MK 1

Well what a difference a year makes, this time last year was hunting through barns on Winkelmans ranch, freezing cold, soaking wet and hungry.

Help please.

While you are all working out in your workshops on your winter projects, can any of you lay your hands on a reasonable condition Hewland LG500 4-5 speed
gearbox. I have a Porsche G50 and a ZF 5-25 + £s to swop if need be.

About 4 hours of elbow grease later, I've removed most of the kack and glue from the GRP inside the car . . . . once I've filled a few holes I think its good enough to stay in its original gel coat inside, which means no painting, and less weight.

Rolling road today. 125 BHP. I built the engine many years ago now. I built it exactly to group 1 spec so I recon that's not too bad. We normally get 132 to 135 out of a FF 2000 engine. This figure is the only bench mark I have. She had loads of torque. We hope to test at Mallory on 7th of Feb. The only problem there is I leave for South Africa on Tuesday.
