Busy schedules, which Drivers/teams has to do alot of races?

I'm curious how busy some drivers or teams are over a whole year, because there are alot of races and series drivers can do in one year.

F1 driver have 21 races in 2016, which sometimes have only 1 week between the two venues (for example Red Bull Ring and Silverstone weekend), or have 4 weeks between the venues (for example hockenheim and spa francochamp). But GT drivers can do multiple races in a row if they want, and race in different classes.

Let's take a couple of endurance races, 24 hours of dubai, 24 hours of daytona, 12 hours of sebring, 12 hours of bathurst, 24 hours of spa, 24 hours of Le Mans and the 24 hours of the nurburgring. Alot of top drivers can be found in some of these races, but not all races.

So who is the busiest GT driver you know of?

Vanthoor is doing BSS+BES, ADAC GT Masters, N24h, 24h Le Mans. Mies should be pretty busy, too.

Jeroen was my first pick as well!

I'd guess some factory drivers might be getting farmed out a lot as well, but guys like Bleekemolen and others who aren't factory drivers are probably more likely to be looking for as much work as possible.

I see from a report on DailySportsCar that this weekend Andrew Howard is planning on driving in both the ELMS (Silverstone) and British GT (Brands Hatch) races, in addition to attending a football/soccer match at Wycombe Wanderers.

Chief Tucker might have been a filthy little man and total hack fraud, but he did race in hell of a lot of things simultaneously, wasn't he entered for like every single thing that raced on ALMS weekends, and outside them, on multiple cars.

I remember an interview with Jeroen where he was saying how many weekends he was doing and it was a lot, made more sense than being an exclusive factory driver for him at the time IIRC.

NASCAR drivers do an absolute tonne of events and mileage in a year too.

36 races in the main series, but some guys that have full-season deals in Cup do at least half a season in Xfinity and/or Trucks for fun/to get more practice/etc. That would put guys like Kyle Busch at over 50 races/season at least.

This is Kyle Busch:

2006 (77): 36 Cup, 34 Nationwide, 7 Trucks.
2008 (84): 36 Cup, 30 Nationwide, 18 Trucks.
2009 (76): 36 Cup, 35 Nationwide, 15 Trucks.
2010 (81): 36 Cup, 29 Nationwide, 16 Trucks.
2011 (71): 35 Cup, 20 Nationwide, 16 Trucks.

That's over 18,000 laps per year. He led about 4,500 laps per year in 2008-2010.

Then add the Shootout, Daytona Duel, All-Star, Prelude to the Dream, Denny Hamlin Showdown and Snowball Derby.

In 2009 he ran the Grand-Am Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona and the NASCAR East / West combination race at Iowa.

That is a lot of track time for sure! I wasn't even thinking oval drivers, but that is a ton of work.

My first thought too. Plus, he is often going across the ocean to race, so his air miles alone must be unreal.

In the US, I know some oval drivers race a great deal. Not just the stock car crowd, but those in Midgets and Sprints. They are doing a couple of race meetings a weekend, plus mid-week too. They may not be doing a lot of 'miles' per meeting, but they stay busy.

Shane Van Gisbergen would be up there considering the 2 main series he's signed up for are on opposite sides of the globe.
