That Porsche and Peugeot

Give me a little more time, but that looks like a sort of Porsche 917, but it isn't quite. The Provence Moulage Peugeot wind tunnel car is up on ebay at the moment!

ciao

Here is the proper picture. I think.

Yes, this is the proper car. Ignore the one in the background. When i mentally picture a race car, this is the one I see.
1969 Porsche 917.
As you say, the drivers' names pretty much give it away; this car had "development" bodywork, it ran in the 1969 Kyalami 9hrs (entered by David Piper Racing, driven by Piper himself and Richard Attwood), it won the race, it was chassis no. 010, and no, I had to look all this up.
Any further questions?

You get the prize! this is a pretty obscure car and I am surprised anyone got it, so good work. I'll dig through my photos and try to come up with a stumper.

Dr Austin request
Dr Austin request

Please please if you are the fountain of information I hope you are, respond to my thread regarding GT vehicle specs... "How fast, how heavy.." or what ever its called. I'm desperate for accurate data on cars from 1994 onwards in FIA-GT, Le Mans, ALMS, SRWC, US Trans-Am and Grand Am. I am extremely desperate for 95,96,97 FIA-GT.

Please consider helping me on this, as you will be enshrined in Karma glory, and my great respect.

Hope to hear from you.

Ferrari @ Le Mans

Here's something nice I found the other day:

models of all Ferraris ever to race at Le Mans, and some info on who drove, what result, etc. (in Italian but you can figure it out easily).

Re: Any modellers?

If there are any collectors and/or modelers of Le Mans diecast cars here is a unique opportunity for you to
collect some rare 1:43 scale Le Mans diecasts from the mid 1920's up through 1969 (the end of the "Golden Era").
My cousin has approximately 150 Le Mans cars from manufacturers such as CCCF, AMR, Jielge, Starter, Provence Moulage and Grand Prix Models.
Some of the more notable cars are:
1935 Astin Martin
1937 Bugatti
1954 Gordini
1959 DB Panhard
1960 Birdcage Maserati
1964 Bonnet Aerojet
He is currently in the process of cataloging all information for each car and preparing for sale.
These kit cars are all factory original and have instruction sheets and decal sheets as provided.
He also has numerous aftermarket packages of wire wheels w/knock-offs, tires, windscreen blades, steering wheels, foot petals and more.
If anyone is interested in knowing more, please Email me or post a contact addy below. Thankyou, Dave.
