Q47. The Wolf WR1 was designed by the late Dr. Harvey Postlethwaite.
First race was at the Argentinian GP of 1977.
It won its first GP at the hands of Jody Scheckter.

Q48. The first Lotus 72 was purchased in 1970 by Spaniard Alex Soler-Roig.
It was a Lotus-Ford 72C. He entered the Belgium GP of 1970 but did not qualify.

Q49. I have no idea.

May be the answer you have is Rob Walker Racing for Graham Hill (car no. 72C R4). However, this car was first used at the International Gold Cup at Oulton Park on August 22, but World Wide Racing (Team of Alex Soler Ruig) used 72C R2 (former car of Jochen Rindt) already on June 7 at Spa.

You're right, I have Rob Walker as the answer. Sorry blokes, but I only have this trivia book (and a few other books) so I have to go on what it says.

Not the best way, but definately the easiest for a daily quiz.

Still awaiting last answer : I'll give you a clue, he's British and during the 90's he's been around Rovers quite a bit.

World Wide Racing was just a name Lotus used on some entries. The car never changed hands.

I would suggest cars left the works in the following order

R4 to Walker August 1970
R3 to Charlton July 1971
R6 and R7 to Gunston December 1973

R1 was rebuilt as a later car, R2 was wrecked and the other three became show cars for Lotus or a sponsor.

It was my understanding that World Wide racing was used at Monza in 1971, the year following Rindt's fatal crash to prevent the siezure of Team Lotus assets by the Italian courts. If my feeble memory is correct, Emmo drove the Lotus turbine F1. Did Soler-Roig run under the World Wide Racing Banner?

You're right, EERO, that was the reason Lotus used World Wide Racing. Emmerson Fittipaldi drove the Lotus Pratt & Whitney only in Italy.
Alex Soler-Roig was the first one to purchase a Lotus 72 in 1970.
He drove for World Wide Racing in 1970 but he entered the Belgian GP under the flag of Garvey Team Lotus.
