........................."ow many more times do I have to tell you Stephen? I'm not wearing that bloody skirt even if it is for the TV!"

*slams phone down*

Now were was I? Yes it was a tremendous performance and one I hope Stephen never has to repeat. However we could start a campaign to have him on the opening credits for every GP. And sure as eggs is eggs they'll show that clip next year as a run up to the British GP coverage.

I feel repeat fees in the air.

Good evening all.

Just a little note to let you know that last nights awards ceremony went really well. Tony Jardine was the compare for the evening and a thoroughly nice chap he is too!

The national awards were presented by Alan McNish and we managed to have a brief chat as the evening drew to a close. Shall we say he is fighting hard for the Jordan seat still.

The 'special awards' of which mine was one, were presented by Max Mosely of the FIA and so you can imagine how humbled I felt. I have to say that during the evening up to the time of the awards, I have never been so nervous and had to have a couple of stiff drinks to calm me down. Tony Jardine gave a fabulous intro and sang the praises of marshals all round and his views were backed up by Max.

During the evening I was shocked at just how many other winners dropped by the table to offer congratulations as I really wasn't expecting anything like the response the ward got. I am the proud (very proud actually) owner of the first Alexander Forbes MSA Marshal of the Year dish, which measures approx 18 inches across the diameter, something I shall treasure for the rest of my life.

You will also be glad to know that the MSA etc do visit this site from time to time and so many of your comments do not go un-noticed.

Thank you all once again for all the wonderful messages of support. I feel truly humbled.

Well done Stephen, top man.

But have you though about how you are going to top this?
Streaker would be the only way I reckon.....

Fantastic night by all accounts.

You thoroughly deserve the recognition Stephen. I'm glad the other award winners took time to stop by and thank you.

Is it "I'm a Marshal, get me out of here' where a band of Marshals are left to fend for themselves in a remote field in Northamptonshire during July.
