I have been buying longer than most if not all that take the trouble to comment here and the new magazine is much better than the last iteration.
The fact is that in the last 10 yars there has been a media explosion that everyone in the information business has had to cope with. The web and satelite TV have spread the money accross all areas much more thinly and I sympathise with the magazine management, it is hard to keep circulation up to a break-even level. Same applies to TV, I refused to pay to get the Setanta film of FIA GT this week because I was there but when I am not at Adria I may take a different decision, we have an overload of information available to us and so it will all be marginal in terms of uptake. It will never be perfect for all of us but the boy done good IMO |

Having been critical of the last LMS report in the magazine I have to say that the Spa report is much improved and reflects where the action was rather than a pre-conceived splui of the report. A lot happened in GT2 and is reported quite well, thank you Andrew.
The LMP2 report suffers from brevity and the GT1 reflects the lack of entries but overall a better balance IMO |

Read a bit of this weeks edition, it is worth the money just for the F1 radar feature alone.
The non-F1 stuff has a good style about it and seems to have grown from one year ago (although, I have no empirical measurement). The F1 stuff has about the right level of quantity considering its position in the sport, but I still don't get on with the writing in the main. |

I would like to see more news on the problems at Donington Park and what redevelopment work is being done, this is after all the home of the British GP. |

The next two weeks will put lots of pressure on space with the F1 situation, the Turkish GP and Le Mans and the report from LM will be of a titanic LMP1 battle all being well. From my point of view the Le Mans report needs to show more than just the LMP1 situation as all teams put a massive amount into getting to what many consider to be the greatest race of them all, no matter what class they race in.
These next few copies of the magazine should be great if they do it well |

Well AvdB, credit where it is due, the LM report lived up to my hopes rather than expectations when senior management got back with my copy. With 12 pages of report giving due space and relevance IMO to each of the 4 classes I think it is well worth the price this week.
Well done |

Cheers! I thought the team did a great job at Le Mans this year, both in print and on the web.
Best, Andrew |
