Silverstone Pole on the left
Does anyone know why the pole position is on the left for the GP? As proved by Weber the right side seems the best and as is used in club racing.

I'm guessing, but for the entry to Copse you really need to be on the left of the track given its 180mph+. Entry speed on the right would be much lower.
That said - I agree, the RHS was a much quicker side to be on. |

Pole's always on the racing line (or it is after Senna proved his point!) and the LHS is the racing line so that side becomes the odd numbered positions!
