Do you miss Scott Atheron say there are TWO NEW GT1 teams coming to ALMS?

Think you mean Lou Gigliotti, Fogelhund, but everything else you said obviously still applies.

Plus a third is possible. He preferers to stay in World Challange. Once you start introducing pit stops, your team doubles if not triples in size, plus all the extra equipment and cost escalate skyward too. |

Regardless, it's compettive GT1 teams we need, that means factory cars. The only alternative is to pull the Corvette works team and supply customers, and hope teams buy C6.R's, Saleens and Astons, or switch to the more competitive, relevant, GT2 class. If they did switch to GT2, I would hope they wouldn't run a full factory team, rather support two or three favoured customers. |

Lou sent me a message saying the GT2 ride was put on hold by the client.
The paintjob was nice though. http://www.americanlemans.com/Galler...0723018875.JPG |

Konrad may run 2 of his Saleen's instead of the 997. This may be recycled news, but it's certainly something worth moving this thread back on topic. http://translate.google.com/translat...&hl=en&ie=UTF8

I wonder where Tom Weickhardt is hiding right now?? I know he had that deal with Konrad go astray last year, make soyu kind of wonder if he had the money to buy those ACEMCO cars and do it on his own? I mean, the Viper was past its sell-by-date against the 'Vettes, but surely he could of put together something to run the Saleens.
Even Tracy Krohn with his Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT's- why not send them back to Reiter and have them "rejunvinated"? Surely it could be done, even if Krohn sold them off to someone else to do...... I am very surprised and disappointed the way GT1 is, and I know there's many out there sick and tired of hearing of the whining on these forums, but I couldn't resist this thread as there are cars in the US that can do it, just a matter of the right team with the funding and the initiative to tackle the Corvette squad. |
