Supercheap Jack Daniels???
Interesting read in today's Sydney Herald
quote "Larry Perkins's team kept its cars out of trouble (Steve Richards was fourth in the round and Paul Dumbrell seventh) and the veteran Holden team boss has offered the Supercheap squad the use of two of the Commodores his team uses to run Perkins's son Jack and Shane Price in the Fujitsu Development series. offered? or rented? What sort of deal would that involve? And what if the Smurfster bangs up another one? |

Perkins supplies engines to SuperCreep so selling/renting them cars would be no biggie.
I thought the team had a spare, and could nick the car they sold to Mark Porter if required? I could imagine Murf's face if he got to line up in Tratty's 2005 Toll car |

If its true! Gee! what a great news story from the House of Larry, What a great gesture, Everyone bags our Larry, but how many teams would give, lend, lease, whatever?? a race car to another team? I wonder if this will set a precedent now??

So where are they getting their engines? The doors to the Walkinshaw vault are pretty firmly bolted shut...

You are right, according to the SCAR website -
Holden Motorsport 5.0 litre engine developed by Perkins Engineering. Developing 620hp at 7,500rpm I thought I heard on the weekend's telecast that were no longer using the Perkins units, obviously I heard wrong. |
