Does anyone know if this event is being shown anywhere in the Uk? Previous years have been shown on Motorsport tv but I can't find a listing anywhere.

Thanks for that, disappointing that it's not being televised this year. I watched last years wet race in 4 hour stretches.

That might have been the 1000 in October that was wet, trust me, last year's 12 hour was dry and hot!

There's several of us, all arranged independently. A couple of British drivers may be a little surprised at the support around the track!

Two-car Ginetta GT4 team ready for Bathurst

Looks like we have lost one of the ginetta Gt4s.

However this leaves just 1 Marc car without any drivers (TBA) I guess there is a ? over this entry

Pretty good mainstream coverage, front page of theage.com.au:

https://www.drive.com.au/motor-news/...5?ffref=theage

Definitely no good that none of the last 3 year's winners have returned.

Surely Nissan not doing the 12hr means they won't continue in V8s either, the new boss doesn't have the taste for motorsport it seems.

Its a little bit misleading - McLaren GT who won the 2016 event with Tekno is back with YNA Motorsports in 2018.

It certainly is not the most positive sign for the future of the Nissan Supercars programme. At least the 12 hour participation was successful which cant be said of the V8s of late.

Second MARC Mustang being shaken down tomorrow I believe. Paul Morris will drive it.

PS: Best weather forecast for years, nothing hotter than 26 degrees. Boom!

well heres a bit of late news

Grant Denyer in a MARC Mazda

wasnt in last weeks entry list

Denyer, Garry Jacobson, Tyler Everingham

Neither Denyer or Jacobson were on last weeks list, but tyler was. so not sure if they are taking over the car tyler was in, or all 3 will be in the TBA MARC

A Bentley win would be an appropriate swansong for the model being raced. Best of luck to them.

Just been told one of the great traditions of the 12 hour, the open pitlane on Thursday is no more to the great unwashed, security in place to prevent people entering. Go Supercars, another great part of the event is no more under their reign, unless you want to pay apparently....

That’s disappointing. I’ve yet to hear a team publicly complain about the great unwashed being in pitlane on the Thursday and especially the evenings.

Oh well I’ll always have the memories of jumping over pit wall onto the front straight whilst they were setting up for the official photo shoot last year. I didn’t look like I belonged there and expected to be told to leave but no one cared.

Got some good vid of the Porsche and Bentley heading back to the pits with a bit of enthusiasm though haha
