Thats going to be pretty tight you would reckon

I wonder if they will sacrifice one in the short term to get one up and going quicker

2018 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, 2-4 Feb

Manthey even air freighted a second Porsche to Bathurst because they were worried about delays to the sea freight.

All they need now is to find the cars damaged by the cyclone the broken down boat also had to endure en route to Aus. Hopefully not the case.
According to the image in the story, at least one of them looks to be in good health.

Certainly looks like an 'all-nighter' for M-Sport, but, having seen what they achieved when Guy Smith dropped his car into the pit wall at Barcelona, I'm pretty sure that, if it can be done, M-Sport will deliver.

They would require some slack-cutting from officialdom in respect of driver sign-on, scrutineering, fuel rig checks and tyre marking. But, particularly if they had used the official shipping deal offered by the organisation, this would appear to be a case of force majeure.

For those who are there, give the British marshals a wave if you see them (and they're identifiable). At the last count there's 9 people flown down for holidays which coincide with the race

First practise session is run and complete, it was for am(bronze and silver) drivers only

It looks like the two TBA cars are not competing, which gives us 51 cars. a good field, with some ripping drivers

the Marc II was in 5th spot

and the bentleys are out on track

Looks like 12 hour results are back with Natsoft after a couple of years away

so far 50 cars out on the track, all are well within the cut off time (im estimateing 2.36)

and GT has his audi quicker than last years p2 time.

maybe the audi will have some speed this year

It would appear the cut-off is now 120% (good in my opinion, it was on my list of changes)

all cars that completed laps were well within that number

P4 is over, 6 mins early with a crash in the chase involving a gT4 BMW and the max twigg Gt3 merc (i expect probably fixable at first glance)

all audi and bmw at the top, with lambo and porsche making up the top ten

Maccas still a couple of seconds of the pace The pre race favourite is 3 seconds off

Thats it for today

Concerns over where this second engine is, in regards to its ‘freshness’ I believe.

Driver hospitalised as Bathurst 12H claims first casualty

Best wishes to Kent, hopefully nothing too signifcant

Though comparatively light, the damage was enough to end the team’s weekend as a shortage of parts in the country prevented the car’s repair.

I have heard of Audi's running up to 15,000 km with the same engine so hopefully they will be ok.
