peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
DR suggesting he owes SVG for ruining his championship tilt last year, Fair call, but as he admits, had to be near him first.

suggest he isnt the only one.

Frosty in an article yesterday suggested he was really disappointed in the unnecessary aggression in a pass that happened at the GC. Read into that what you want

Does SVG have a career in comedy after his racing days are over?? About the 8:40 mark.

Can someone explain the Pither penalty?

Your fellow competitor attempts a low percentage move around the outside, you give him room as evidenced by running up on the curb, but unfortunately in trying to give your competitor room the kerb launches you into your fellow competitor - completely without intent.

Your competitors low percentage move fails to come off and you receive a penalty.

Wasn't this simply a racing incident?

I don't agree with the penalty either, and I'd be surprised if they had gotten hold of the evidence in that sort of timeframe too.

It could be argued that Bright pinched Pither at the apex of that corner.

another weird penalty. PLP yet similar to Bathurst where only 15 seconds.

Seems we've learned nothing from Bathurst.

Driver takes another out, attempts re-address, dumping several spots in the process, STILL serves a PLP.

These rules need to be overhauled asap.

Hopefully that will be the last we ever see of the 4 x 100 km race weekends.

The New Zealand fans and TV viewers deserve better.

Surprising to see SvG being teary eyed since he doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve but he deserves the JR Trophy. Awesome to see Kim Jones on the podium. (Even though I wish it was one of Jase Richards' family members like his father or wife)

This weekend brought back all those bad memories of the old supersprint formats we got rid of - 2 races per weekend is plenty and IMO has worked really well since it was brought back.

Is the pit lane facility a limiting factor? Might need to move the NZ race to one of the more "permanent" circuits eg. Highlands, Hampton Downs etc.

What is "less permanent" about Pukekohe compared to the others? It has certainly improved leaps and bounds compared to when I saw the NZGP there in 1982. Is it the tent city garages you are referring to?

I also thought the races were boring save the first lap or two of R2, and the RB coming together in R3 was the highlight (lowlight?). Perhaps the saving on freight of extra tyres and fuel rigs was a cost factor, but I wouldn't travel to NZ to see that event. I would go for the AGT 101s, and did so in 2014.

Kiwi fans deserve better than this rubbish. They also deserve a second round, but I'd doubt Tony Quinn would be keen to pay V8SC their fees.
