porsche962fan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Plato already moans again about RWD !!!

I barely wait the day when he will finally leave the series

They need weight on the car, and lower boost in first gear. They can do that – it’s a simple bit of mathematics

Weight on the car and lower boost in first gear? That's not getting rid of a small advantage, that's making them into also-rans!

Also points finished for all four BMR cars. Good start to the CC era for Goff.

something needs to be done about parity, FWD cars too fast , need to be pegged back

expect a penalty for Collard for push on Wood

Hysteria and politics aside, I thought Turkington vs. Plato was some very good racing, Turkington giving it a pretty good shot despite obviously wanting to keep safe and finish.

Mr Morgan looking impressive, and Tordoff 31st to 9th! I was hoping he'd get promoted to pole in the reverse grid, but he just missed out.

They have just said that Andy Jordan will not take part in race three - seems he's not feeling 100% as a result of yesterday's accident.

I must say for a race 3 it was rather BORING except some contact it was just a procession mostly

they need to relax the rules about track limits etc a bit

and Hondas a sitting duck on the straights, wish they would get rid of turbo boost

Turks only lost a few points on Plato's strongest circuit, fancy him 2014 champion

I think that bash from Turks on Neal might cause him trouble.

I thought it was a great Race 3. the race leader didn't sail off into the distance. The second pack near the end one foot wrong and they could've easily lost 5-6 places. the top three drivers three abreast out of one corner.

I think Turkington will use the Andy Jordan defence, Matt Neal was trying to back the field up for Flash, if Neal brakes early to slow up the field into the hairpin he should expect a tap.

On a different note anyone here Tim Harvey refer to the MGs performance as a "Swan song"? Fuel for the fire?

Turks given a 8 place grid penalty for next race !!! so if he gets pole at Knockhill he will start 8th

and despite being clearly fastest car today and winning 2 races Plato still moans about NGTC parity regs !!!

Quote:
“If I had been on holiday this weekend Turkington would have disappeared into the distance,” Plato told BTCC Crazy’s Chris Ashby, stating that he was the only runner who was in the Northern Irishman’s class. “It was a stellar weekend for me however sadly I’ve only taken a couple of points out of Colin.”

“If I was in a rear-wheel-drive car I would be smiling, I’m not though,” he said.

“Whether I like it or not, I’m the one that is vocal about the situation. What I want to know is what will happen next year. The championship have to change the regulations else this formula will be thrown in the skip. No one wants to go front-wheel-drive next year and TOCA need to decide if they are going to change anything.

“It is as simple as that. My thoughts are though if they change something they have to admit they got it wrong and I can’t see that happening.
of course he hypocritically forgets that Turks was the only RWD car in the top 6 all day

- Very harsh penalty! I expect they stayed really late and looked at the data too, so perhaps they've already appealed.

- The simple thing to do is not give Plato the column inches or the airtime.

Really?!? I thought it was one of the races of the season. Great battle for the top 8 places, lots of quality driving on show. Shame the same can't be said lower down the order. Lots of silly incidents, all day.

Agree about Turkington, he's going to walk this championship on current form. Really a driver on the top of his game.

8 places, that's a big grid drop. Turks isn't a dirty driver so i am quite shocked at this, in fact I think this is the first penalty Turk's has ever got.

it was a procession mostly

Gio couldn't pass Smith, Jackson couldn't pass Smith and he barely did pass his team mate

Shedden couldn't pass Plato all race long , Plato couldn't pass Turks and Gio would have hanged on to podium if it wasn't for his own mistake cos Turks couldn't pass him either

passes were done only when a serious mistake or tangle

in the old days the tap to pass or force the issues side by side would have been used but now seems a bit too sterile

Fair enough, different ideas on what constitutes a good race I suppose.

Just a note on the contact, these cars don't seem to respond as well to the rough and tumble style racing as previous sets of regulations. A tap from behind now seems to tip a car in to a spin where as before a car would just run wide. Perhaps one of the reasons the rules have been tightened up on contact.

Am I missing something with these penalties? are they published somewhere in their entirety? So Jordan appeals his treatment of gio at croft and what happened to Plato's penalty from croft? - then today neal bundles Morgan out of the way at Montreal, and now it seems an 8 place penalty for turkington!

as for rwd dominance - please!!......
