Alfa Novamotor F3 Cam Buckets?

Does anyone out there know what the cam buckets fitted to 1980/90 alfa twin spark Novamotor are out of? they measure 39.35 mm, about 4 mm larger than standard Alfa buckets, otherwise appear identical.

that is larger than the Fiat / Lancia twin-cam
also larger than Ferrari 246 Dino.
