Cheers speed king, much appreciated; although I'm not sure it's going to plan, so far the ETCC cars have done about two laps each and I've seen about five WTCC cars in the first 30/40 minutes!

TCRs sound good though, just would be nice if there were a few more.

Amd now they're doing that team time trial thing. No idea if it works on TV but this is seriously tedious as trackside viewing goes; it's been something like 90 minutes and I've seen about 15 passes of cars in total, 35 if you include the ETCC lot.

I wonder if Yokohama will follow Dunlop's lead after the problems at Thruxton and reduce the race distance by 3 laps.

Coronel social media king

This rule is because racing drivers should give the good example to normal road users?

I guess that's why and rightly so. I seem to remember a big fine handed out by NASCAR for a similar offence?
Asking for fans to pay the fine is just poor form in my eyes.

Surely he could've just waited another three minutes to take his pictures?

EDIT:
Just checked, Brad Keselowski was fined 25000$ just for having a phone in his car. He got caught sending tweets during a red flag.

A phone can be helpful during a 24h race, I don't think it should be in a race car for qualifying or sprint races though.

3 minutes is not enough on this long track

They usually don't do the whole lap at the end of session and come back to the pits at the end of the GP circuit.

Agreed. Whether they are sincere or it's just smokescreen PR, the FIA make road safety a big deal and people using their phones while driving is the hot topic. Hell, even if they didn't have the whole campaign going, the fine is justified.

I hope the whole asking fans to pay the fine deal is just an attempt to generate more social media buzz, because it's dumb on so many levels.

Coronel will laugh about it, it's exactly the attention his sponsors are paying for.

Can't understand why Lopez is always so lucky. Congrats for the win though.

Everything what could have posiibly gone wrong for Honda - went wrong.

Hey, and what's with these punctures, there were not any punctures last year, this year this is a huge problem. I wonder whether it is a question of really dirty track, agressive set-ups or Yokohama failure.
