Bluebottle, Hurricane, Tim and I will be at Donington on Friday (I think Craig is trying to contact you, Lee, regarding going with us to Speedway at Sheffield after the Qualifying is over for ELMS.)

I want to stand in a spot where the cars slow enough to take good photos. I have six rolls of film and hope that will be enough.

What's wrong with that ?

I'll be doing 5 meetings in 4 days...! And i'll be at three different circuits on the Sunday; Donny, Snett, and Brands...!

I'm a bit annoyed I didn't know about the Oulton meet, but i'm committed to the ALMS and the Speedway on the Friday now.

I'm with ya on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Maisie! I've got a date with MacDonalds and my nephews on Friday. I guessed I was allowed one day off to see the family on Easter weekend

I'm a definite for Brands - after spending about an hour today trying to get an answer from the ticket hotline! Finally got my ticket booked
So, ALMS and BTCC for me over the weekend. Might do Oulton, haven't decided yet - how much is Maisie going to nag me Wish I was going to Snetterton, but I think I'm doing enough this weekend...now when do I get a payrise....silly me, I dont.

Just had word from Teamworks Karting that they are closed until May. So that part of the plan is now in the dumpster. Drat.

I am now open to suggestions as to what to do after church on Easter Sunday ...

Woody! It won't be the same without you!

What time is everyone planning on arriving at Donington on Saturday? Looking at the time table:

Saturday, April 14, 2001
09:00 - 09:30 Combined Warm-Up - ELMS (LMP 900, LMP 675, GTS and GT)
09:45 - 10:15 Race - Group C
10:30 - 11:00 Race - Quikpower Sports 2000
11:15 - 11:30 Race - VSR6 / VSR8
12:10 - 14:55 Race - European Le Mans Series - 2 hour 45 minute race
15:45 - 16:15 Race - Group C
16:30 - 17:00 Race - Quikpower Sports 2000
17:15 - 17:35 Race - Moss Europe Thorobred Sportscar Championship
17:45 - 18:00 Race - VSR6 / VSR8

As I haven't been to see any of these race before, not sure what can be, if any, missed in the morning?

There are also a couple of us that have Autosport Magazines so one can get in free. In that case, I suggest that we meet up by the gate and go in together? Who is up for that?

And Danielsun - how are you getting there?

Wish we were there

Well kids, Easter is just around the corner and all those months of planning are about to come to fruition. Those of us who have watched you plan your trip with fascination - How many race meetings can we do in one weekend? Who's going? Who isn't? How are you getting there? Will I make my plane back to Canada in time? How long does it take to organise a trip to the races - will be there with you in spirit. So, is there a willing soul who I can nominate to have a couple of ales to celebrate the occasion for me in my absence?

As you go tripping about the English countryside, spare a thought for us who are stuck at home. And take lots of pictures. HAVE FUN.

Thanks Emfa! I'll be driving so you can't nominate me! This thread has been going for a while! I'll be waving to my house when I drive back from Donington to Snetterton (The thought of crashing the night in a nice warm house with a bed seems so much more enticing than a night in a tent at Donington )

So, Redshoes - you are saying that basically I get no chance of a lie in on Saturday morning and have to be there bright and early

I will aim to be there at 9.30am. Does that sound like a good time to meet at the gate?

AAAhhhhhh, Wait for me......

Even if I set of at 07:00 I don't expect to arrive before 10:00, add on a bit for the Bank Holidy Jams so 10:30

Is there a quicker way other that M25 / M1. Expected journey time 3 hours correct ??

Simon

Lorna, I was going to aim to get there for the 9.00 warm-up but you know me and early morning don't mix.

SL, where are you coming from. I usually find the M40/M42/A42 is a good option.

SL, definately go via Brum as Redshoes suggests... I always go that way unless I have visitors to pick up en route... which will not be a problem from now on It's not all that much quicker, but it is much more consistent - ie the Sunday night return leg is much more enjoyable that way than being sat in a jam from as far north as Milton Keynes...

I spoke to Dano earlier... i'll be picking him up early Friday morning from Hillingdon tube and heading oop narf from there, so his lift is sorted. All we need to do now is confirm once and for all that camping is still available at Donny... anyone know for sure ?

I should think I'll be aiming for about 10 to 10:30 complete with an Autosport chucked somewhere in the back of the car.

OK Wing Commander Antill & Chief Navigator Redshoes

M40 / M42 / A32 it is.

Just look out for a rapid Nissan 200 on that route. (I'll expect favourable comments about the nice pair of very expensive £150 each Avon boots on the back axle by the way !!)

And Carrie, if I could have loan of your Autosport it would be very welcome 50/50 ??

For the sake of team supplies what is the biccie of choice this year ??

I'm not sure who I'm sharing my Autosport with, Dan or Lorna I think. If we all get organised (ha ha, living in dream world again, when have we ever managed organised!) I'm sure we can manage to get enough Autosports together to get everyone in at half price
Simon, have you got anyone's mobile number to contact people? If not send me a PM.
