RIKB should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Colin Blair's decision to leave the BTCC provisionally hands the Michelin Cup for Independents title to Matt Neal, giving him his second successive championship. With 232 points, and a maximum of 140 up for grabs, the Team Dynamics Max Power Racing star cannot be caught. He says: "It's great to be champion again, now I can just concentrate on trying to get an outright race win."

Just like taking candy from babies!

I think Charlie Cox should put a trademark on his commentary, to stop people like Rik from stealing his words . Seriously, was there ever going to be a real challenge for Matt Neal. Even last year he had it basically handed to him. If only Will Hoy had been in the Laguna the whole season; wouldn't have been quite so clear-cut then, would it?

As for this year, well, we'll see what the Bearded Oaf can do at Donington this weekend. Don't forget that he won there last season, so it should be interesting to see how he fares against not only Matty but the Accords and Vectras. The Mondeos should return to the 1-2-3 form, I expect, and be way ahead. Just so long as it's in the right order, hey, Ganda?

I had a feeling we'd be in for this with you here...

While it's never good to see a driver 'giving up' his drive mid-season, we all know that it can make for more excitement (on the track, not off it, Russell Spence).

History shows, with WILL HOY!, that when experienced drivers take over Independent cars, Matt Neal can be beaten. Maybe David Leslie will follow in Hoy's footsteps.

Even if he can't do it, at least there's a driver other than Alain Menu we can shout at...
