I had my fingers crossed that the only positive thing to come out of V8s leaving 7 was we'd lose this twit. Now I'm worried we're going to inherit Beretta as well.

Ten Network Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Hamish McLennan during the V8SC Foxtel deal announcement 18/12/13.

“Ten is now truly the home of motorsport. Formula One, MotoGP and V8 Supercars will make a powerful, exciting combination for all our viewers and advertisers. Today’s announcement is in line with our strategy of investing in premium live sport and adding more Event TV to Ten."

Hmmm... so what happened to MotorGP then?? Home of motorsport indeed.

Beretta is too much of a Seven person given his sunrise stuff. I expect that his current role on the V8 broadcast will be filled by either Greg Rust, Daryl Beattie or Mark Howard. All who will probably do a better job.

Howard..... you're kidding, aren't you. If ever there was a network hack, that knew a little about everything and a lot about nothing, it's him. Every time he is involved in an event for Ten, it's embarrassing. His efforts at the Melb GP were bloody hopeless and when he did commentary for the big bash, you could see Ponting, Gilchrist and company cringing at his comments.

No.Until this year 10/1 showed Moto GP,Moto 2 and Moto 3 races live as well as Moto GP qualifying. Now they only have rights to Moto GP races.Speed channel shows practice/qualifying from afternoon sessions for all 3 classes on Friday and Saturday as well as morning Moto GP sessions both days.As well as this they show race morning warm ups and all 3 races .All this is live and ad free.
What is interesting as this is the last year of 10's existing contract so they must be broke to give it up.Maybe from 2015 they won't be showing anything.

Maybe broke. But the ratings for Moto 2 & 3 would likely be so small that it made business sense for them to accept the Fox cash. TBH as much as I enjoyed them, I rarely got to watch those two categories.

From what i read, somewhere in the last couple of days, Ten will show Moto GP live until 2016, but Fox will have practise and qualyfying and Moto 2 and 3.

theer will be some sort shared telecast for the Australian round

Great, show us how awesome it will be not to have to listen to him blabbering on over the races and then force him back on us next year...that's just cruel.

You will still have to listen to Skaife so it will still be painful.

Also there doesnt seem to much hope of getting rid of Larkham either

They really should have got Greg Murphy in the box, although given he is competing this weekend he probably wouldn't want to.

Or Noonan.

He was already there calling for 7, so why not give him a fulltime gig?

If we could actually make some of the segments more serious it might improve the show. What was that rubbish with the whiteboard today, an ANZAC one, with the conclusion that the kangaroo should kick the kiwi up the bum???

Mr Seton was never much of a talker.

For those of you playing at home, he's up on the Gold Coast these days.
