One of the great all-rounders. Very, very competitive, but a good clean driver.

Good enough IMO to have had better works drives in F1 at his peak.
RIP.

Great driver and a proper gent. One of those names I grew up with. Great loss but a great innings, too.

RIP, Roy.

One of the many driver of that generation who was overlooked and underrated by so many.

Again, people talk of gentlemen in that era and it is bandied around some without real intent, but Roy really WAS one, a legend and one of our finest.

Sad but as has been said he had a very good innings. Coincidentally I watched the BBC4 Shelby story the other evening. Roy featured in that too.

RIP.
