Corvette news
Apparently the Corvettes were testing at Sebring last weekend and early last week. Looks like they are gearing up for another season against the rather dubious Saleens. Supposedly Oliver Gavin has signed with them for next season. They also tested British F3 runner Paul Edwards, as they did at the end of last season. He again proved quick, I guess they are keeping him under their wing if he decides to move away from single seaters... or they go F1 as the Red Bull boss seems to want them to do!!

Ollie was testing for Dyson and Riley a few weeks ago but I don't know what became of that test. I hope he gets a full ALMS season with Saleen next year.

Axcording to some guys I know on the Team he is signed for GM Corvette next year... maybe they are wrong?

no, you firend was correct, olly has joiuned the vette team to repalce Scott Pruett. See Speedvision story. Although it does not exaclt say, I guess he will be only doing the enduracne races since that is what Pruett/Kiefel did. Also, does this mean Pruett got a job with Panoz? I don't see why he would leave a plush ride with vetter unless moving to something bigger

Oliver Gavin has signed for Corvette. Lets hope they don't muck him about, like Saleen did.

do you specifically mean factory Saleen? cause he drove the semi works konrad saleen at sebring and parkplace saleen @ PLM. |
