mosler lover should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Went to Silverstone for the Britcar 3-hour on Saturday, excellent day, huge grid, great variety. And always fun to watch a Mosler win!

Now I've got to work out how I get from Silverstone to Spa so I get to see the start of the 24-hour and the Dutch Supercar Challenge all in one weekend.

Saw the van a couple of times when the VW's were supporting British GT/F3, fun stuff! But that's what you have to love about motorsport - people will race anything!

Sorry a question from this side of the pond, but does anyone know if Top Gear is going to run the race again. That was a great episode on BBC America.

Don't think so. I think they all said they enjoyed the race and would like to do it again, but I doubt they'll do it as a team for the show...no point in repeating yourself.
Maybe they should do the Ring next year

By the way, what happened to the entry list? Can't find it anymore.

How cool would that be if they did the Nürburgring 24H.

Tom.

They had trouble enough here!

And they'd not be able to get Sabine to help, and they'd beg her to

And you need to have completed a certain number of VLN / RCN races as well as finishing in a certain % of the class entered, to be eligible to race in the 24hr.

Edit - Crikey, it's taken me a year to make a post!

Or participate in Nordschleife training course which takes about one or two days.

But we're really off-topic here, I think

Well, TG are not on the entry list, anyway this year's race already has it's novelty entry.... the van. Which would go a whole lot faster if they gave it a coat of white paint

Or a scowl, a burberry cap, ripped (with paint splashes) trackies and mucky, once-white Reebok Classics.

to me, the spirit of Britcar has been lost somewhat! it was meant to be a home for cars ousted by series changing rules, people like Kessler turning up with brand new 430's, people buying new Moslers and duller building a brand new car for the event, goes against the grain!

But as ever, motorsport is a business and it seems Mr Tucker will take any money offered, spirit of the series or not.
I suppose it does mean big grids, but it is frustrating to turn up with a BRITCAR and be beaten by a Brand New GT3 car with FIA GT drivers or even worse, a squad of F1 drivers.

In essence, I agree- the DSC has it just about perfect IMO.

Presumably James will be tied up in the pits somewhere this year, haha.
