2014 Dunlop V8Supercar Development Series
Well this is not a good start for the 2014 season.

Minda Motorsport to close

Beasley cited a desire to spend more time with his family as a key reason for shutting the team, although admitted that CAMS’ plan to replace Formula Ford with Formula 4 was a major blow to his operation.

There are no announcements in the world anywhere, but Evans Motorsport seems to have taken a step back from V8SC for 2014... the ex-FPR race car was sold off to Mr Zukanovic just before Homebush, and the transporter is for sale on my105.

No sign of whether Ms Angelo has levered herself into another development series seat... given that she was announced as a full time runner in 2014...

Serious question: Why was it called 'Minda Motorsport'?

I'm from SA originally and 'Minda' has a pretty specific meaning over there. The juvenile in me has a little chuckle at this quite obscure name.

Where to for Geoff Emery's ex T8 car.

Also didnt Tony Bates purchase an ex T8 car as well but decided to continue in the Porsche Carrera Cup.

It would likely be logical to combine resources with someone like Eggleston Motorsport who already seem to have 3 888-designed VEs in their shed for next season.

She was seen quite a bit at Homebush in the Eggleston pit area.

... this is Mr A.Russell's chassis from 2013 (the ex-Slade Luckt7 SBR car)... while brother Mr D.Russell wrote on his FB that Homebush was his last drive for the 'foreseeable future..'

To answer
In the early 60's my father started Minda sports cars, he built the Minda Clubman’s.
It come from a SA, Aboriginal word meaning small Fly, the idea was it was small fast and agile.
So when i started i carried the name over.

FPR returns to Dunlop Series

As predicted..

Ford Performance Racing will return to the V8 Supercars Dunlop Series in 2014 with Cameron Waters driving a factory-prepared Ford with the aim of capturing his and the team's first development series crown.

Waters will drive the FPR-808 chassis which has been driven in the main series by Paul Dumbrell and David Reynolds and also appeared in the Dunlop Series later in 2012 with Mostert at the wheel.

Perhaps FPR may buy back the chassis Mr D'Alberto still has in his collection, the one run by Mr McBride this season.. for a 2 car effort...

Ash Walsh is going around again in DVS this season, so that's one less driver in the mix for a main game seat.
