+ qualifying streaming: alms.com and speedtv.com

I'm pretty sure it was mentioned at some point in Petit coverage, even though looks like Speed is not showing the actual race this time.

According to the schedules I can find Motors won't be showing Laguna until the Monday night. Roll on 2009 when we get to see every race live!

Will this be broadcast in HD on NBC?

If so, I could care less about the tape delay .

I believe that NBC had the Mid-Ohio race and that they broadcasted it in HD.

Are they showing the whole four hours of the race, or are we getting another Cliff's Notes version?

Probably a two-hour tape delay-Mid Ohio wasn't that bad, because the race was only 2:45, but Laguna is 4 hours, so they have to cut out two hours of racing.

Maybe that's why this race will return to Speed next year?

Apparently Christijan Albers will be partnering up with Pirro, how did this come about? I know he drove last years Le Mans winner earlier this year at Zandvoort.

Yeah, 2 hour tape delay, 2pm to 4pm EST on Sunday.

God...I don't mean to keep complaining about the TV coverage, but two hours (which will be more in the neighborhood of 1h 40m of actual race coverage once you weed out the pre- and post-race) is not enough! Four hours is not a huge amount of time to commit to showing a race...they do it for NASCAR all of the time.

I await the day that Le Mans style sports car racing takes its rightful position atop the tier of motorsports importance / popularity.

NBS is Unbiased? Want it NBC who wanted to cut all NASCAR races to 3 hours WITH PRE AND POST RACE SHOWS a few years ago?

and if the race ran over time, to bad. Reruns of 90210 made more money.

Bummer, it looks like the Autocon car will be yellow again! It's not that I don't like the yellow, but it blends in with the Penske group too much.

btw, nice job on the guide once again!

Yes, staying yellow. Sent an email to the team, they were too busy rebuilding the car after PLM to worry about fancy paintjobs! Quite an achievement just to get the car rebuilt

Grr, currently stuck at SFO waiting for a bus to Monterey for a taxi to the circuit to marshal there tomorrow & Saturday, piggin' hire car -v- credit card foul-up. Plan B having to be rapidly worked on.

Shame, I saw the Needells from the Barwell squad at Heathrow this morning, would have cadged a lift if I'd know there would be a problem.

Never boring round here!
