A part of the difuser on Max his car had broke off in the beginning of the race(long before the spin), he had a lot of oversteer and more tire wear because of that.

Don't you know that driver battles in Formula 1 exist in absolute isolation of any differences in the cars?

The usual way, when examining the accident damage after the event (the spin in this case) it was found to be broken.

Looking at the TV footage Max was from T1 very aggressive on the kerb use and sparks could regularly be seen from his car hinting at grounding. He may have thought he did not hit kerbs hard but video evidence suggests otherwise. I think his implication the damage just happened is perhaps wishful thinking / an excuse. To me Max had a relatively bad day at the office.
(I have no favourite in the Max and Danny comparison) |

Max is saying he would have lost interest in the race if he was at home watching and he has a point. Ok it’s hard to overtake at Albert Park, but there are a few places if the cars can run close enough. No wonder Max was driving erratically to get close to the Haas in front

Not sure the aggressive driving style was the correct way.
Bad race for Max. |

"he absolutely went for it, got a bit wide I think [in] Turn 11/12 on lap six and that damaged the rear diffuser and created a significant imbalance for him" - Horner.
I have no problem with this, top to watch. An exciting driver. However if you are to gain any semblance of credibility you need to be a little more open and realistic about your passion for Max. I'm not sure how FAS can achieve that for Dani. Until this (impossible) situation occurs I shall only see these drivers for what they are - mediocre and a waste of a great team that would be winning championships with only a half decent driver installed in one of those seats.
