The problem with the rulebook is that it is not written by people with foresight.

Everything is a patch-up of a previous shortcoming.

There SHOULD be rules and sub-rulings on what to do if there's insufficient distance covered, and where races cannot be restarted do to time-certain finishes.

#8 and #14 aren't too bad.

#21 has a lot of rear end damage.

Their #14 and #21 Super2 cars will probably be withdrawn.

I would be very surprised if Macauley will be back tommorow, the damage to the passenger's side of his car is as bad if not worse then that to Kelly's car.

You could almost buy Tasmania for $8 million

13 cars @ $500k a pop write off value is only $6.5m.. and there are probably 'only' 2 possible write offs.. 'only'

Didn't they enter a patch-job at QR for Mr Percat last year, only for it to be eventually sent to GRM for a proper repair?

If the original cost projection made by V8SC regarding the cost of a COTF then $8 million would cover the entire field being written off!....

So has the schedule changed for today? Foxtel is telling me the race starts at 2 as apposed to 4:45 yesterday? Or was this always the plan

Why schedule the Saturday race for a 1645 start?

It seemed to be a close run thing with last light being at 1820, a bit cloud buildup out to the west and it could be a dark run home over the last few laps!

Given majority of teams have complete or near complete spare cars, what's cheaper?

Flogging mechanics doing all nighters to repair damaged cars. Which generally still require those same repairs being repaired again (more $$$'s) back at home base.

Or teams transporting an additional complete or rolling chassis to use when a car is deemed unrepairable in the required timeframe.

LDM don't have a spare chassis, nor does Tekno or PHR.
BJR race their spares in the Dunlop series, although two of those may now be scrap too...

How much effort is required to convert a spare car into a racing car?
With all the driver ergonomics and individual settings like seat & pedal positioning, would they need a spare car for every driver?

#62 is ready to go. As suspected, #3 was canibalised to make it happen.

LDM have 5 chassis at their disposal. There was intent to run a Super2 program (seperate to Mr Chadha), with one left over for ridecar duties.

5?? They have the 2x 2013 LDM 888 cars and the ex-Tekno shell made into a new car.

Are you counting the JFS chassis that didn't seem to get built up
