2016 Stock Car Brasil



IIRC Stock Car Brasil will have new chassis this season. Although the photo I saw car looked exactly like the previous one.

I read in some of the media, the initial plans were to 2016 but were delayed to 2017.

The Corrida das Duplas (round 1 Curitiba) will feature mostly Brazilian guest drivers:

Nelson Piquet Jr, Augusto Farfus, Lucas Di Grassi, Luiz Razia, Antonio Pizzonia, Ricardo Sperafico, Rodrigo Sperafico, David Muffato, Felipe Maluhy, Beto Monteiro, Duda Pamplona...

Only 4 foreign drivers are confirmed: Laurens Vanthoor, Antonio Felix da Costa, Franco Girolami and Damián Fineschi.

The Turismo Carretera wants to do a caravan from Buenos Aires to Tucumán on July 9 weekend to celebrate the bicentennial of independence.

That same weekend, the Top Race has a round at Termas de RÃ*o Hondo.

Several drivers do both championships. And the TC will give 100 points to drivers who attend the caravan.

Top Race boss Alejandro Urtubey criticised ACTC boss Hugo Mazzacane for the conflict. He contrasted him with former ACTC boss Oscar Aventin: "if he would s... (on you), he would tell you in the face".
