his brother (i think) told me they travelled up to scotland to buy a cat d write off some weeks before, just for spare parts should he need them, lets hope he managed to change some bits over and get the car back out!!

I had a great weekend, wasn't really up for it in all honesty, but had two belting races and improved my lap times a bit.

Vids are up here:
Race 1 Part 1
Race 1 Part 2

Race 2 Part 1
Race 2 Part 2

Outside footage from Sundays races:
Classes A/E
Classes B/C/D

Just need Mr Robinson to stick some decent tyres on that fez and come and play.

Pete

I'll be at rockingham next weekend with the vtec challenge, just realised however, were only there on Saturday, all the good racing is on Sunday, including the big falcon! A bit gutted, was looking forward to hearing that in 'the bowl'!

Does anyone know of any photographers at the last final meeting, Ian Hardy doesnt seem to have any up?

Good to watch the first B,C,D race, was down at Clervois when Paul Moss came off, great control and was back on it as soon as the car was straight!!

Any news on next years calander yet? Desperate for info as we're running another MX5 next year in a different series and need to work out which, if any dates are gonna clash.

2012 dates

Hope you get more luck here with a reply than I have.
I've sent two emails to NSSCC asking about entering the 2012 championship with the two drivers and not had one response or even an acknowledgement.
Guess you must have enough drivers already.

Don't know why you have not had any response but it isn't good enough, I will find out what has happened and if you pm me your email details ,once the Regs are signed off by the MSA I will send them to you.
Any championship that thinks they have got enough drivers had best wake up soonest.

That's very strange. When I emailed Lesley she got back to me straight away and was very helpful.

Who did you email and how long ago was it? Did you email more than once?

It's always possible for mail to get dumped into Spam folders and get missed so you could always try picking up the phone. All the contact info is on the website.

Lesley has made contact by email now but said she only had one email from me. For some reason she says her previous reply bounced back but as it was to my business I find that odd.
Anyway, now we have contact I can ask questions to see if NSSCC is right for 2012.
I share a car with my son in the CSCC series which gives two drivers a race during the 40 minute track time. We would prefer to do shorter races but both get a chance so we are thinking that maybe we could do NSSCC with one driver in the first round of a double header and the second driver in round two but not sure if this is practical or within the present rules.
One club has offered the opportunity to do this but insist the second driver start at the back of the grid in race 2 because they would not have qualified in race 1.
First drawback with NSSCC is that both drivers have to register so £230 to start. I thought registration would apply to the car as it does with CSCC and then each driver only need be a club member.

The only way you could get round the qually issue is if you swapped drivers half way through the session.

Each driver has to do at least 3 laps in qually or start at the back.

The way the qualifying works at the minute is that your fastest lap determines your position for the first race and your second fastest lap determines your position the second race.

I can see it being a bit tricky if you want to run different drivers in each race.

Up to the organisers I guess. I can't see any of the competitors having an issue with it. It's a pretty laid back bunch.

I think this was discussed some time back but unfortunately wasn't taken any further forward. I personally cant see a problem with having 2 drivers registered for the same car, with the car collecting points rather than the individual drivers. Would have meant me and my old man could have shared the season.

I think either way, the best way forward is for 1 driver do the whole race weekend, then swap for the next race weekend. Keeps it cleaner and easier to manage. This is what Richard Ralston and Mark Benson did in the Renault Clio. Just a bit of a shame as you say, you would have to pay two registration fee's.
