911targa should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The official list now shows only 14 cars, JMB PRO Ferrari no longer on the test list.

Not come across timing yet but, if people aren't already they should be following Marcel ten Caat who is over there.

https://twitter.com/#!/dsceuroeditor

So far he's revealed that Jonny Cocker is driving the JMW at Ricard. (Please put him in for Le Mans!!!!!)

As well as the fact that Brendon Hartley and Sebastien Buemi are on site. Maybe Brendon is there talking to teams?

The Toyota twitter feed revealed that Buemi would be testing a Oreca 03 to get a feel for LMP's.

nice to see that mclaren did that impressive timelap! if the car ran with the engine restricted (around 500-520hp) and dry weight (1230kg) is however a wonderfull result judging the better aero of GTE cars (jmw can be considered a top team afterall)

it seems that during the winter mclaren automotive didn't solve those problems on engine that were shown during blancpain 2011 races...

The Judd engine (or gear ratio's) seem(s) to be more on pace in this test than it has been at any point last year. Hope it stays that way for the rest of the season, the car sure looks great!

For reference, it was Guillaume Moreau who set the time. Nice to see the Oak/Morgan Judd combination on terms with the Nissan powered cars.

That's extremely fast, remember.. Rebellion LMP1 did 1:46.5xx (fastest time) in 2011 Test Session.

Cool to see Martin Brundle jump straight into the Greaves car and set the fastest time of the day so far. Will definitely be supporting that team at LM.

So after the testing do we think that a few of these drivers will be in seats at Le Mans? Hope so for quite a few of these...

Jonny Cocker - JMW Ferrari 458?
Brendon Hartley - Boutsen Ginon LMP2?
Matt Griffin - AF Corse 458 Am car?

Must echo this - was distinctly worried that LMP2 was on the verge of becoming a Nissan spec series, and this builds a bit of confidence that it might not pan out thus.

A few on End-Info:

Nothing remarkable yet, I guess they haven't had the car for a long time so it ran in unpainted bare carbon fiber trim.

Did you notice Marussia stickers on one of the Orecas?

How on earth a car company that doesn't sell any cars yet and has a gentleman driver/comedian at the helm is supporting an F1 team and extending its sponsorship elsewhere is completely beyond me.

@Pandamasque it seems like that some former engineers from Wirth Research were involved in this kind of LMP projects in the past. Design Engineer - James East http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/james-east/4/743/104

It tested at Paul Ricard - was unclassified though. Given the #90 as that is the GTC class and it needed a number for testing.

Black stickers fitted the back of the car after the end of the first day...

OT: That picture has been taken from Dailysportscar and was made by photographer Peter May. Could have just linked to DSC as the gallery is free-to-view instead of downloading and uploading it again...
