If he can keep pace with Murf and Bargs, it'll be good to see him at Bathurst.

I wasn't aware you could put anyone you like in the car during practice sessions, not that I'm complaining. (Edit: just read that this is one of the "enduro practice" rounds.)

Shame he's changing helmets, I liked his distinctive helmet.

It will be interesting to see how he goes without any pressures from Walkinshaw and a redhot teammate etc. I suspect he will go alright (considering it's a Sprint Gas car

). And let's face it, whichever team leands him for the enduros is guaranteed to get plenty of airtime and exposure in the media.

IMO .4 off Bargs is pretty bloody good for only 1/2 hour in the car and you would imagine he would only get quicker with more time in the car. Jeff get in his ear now for the enduro's. but please billy & the Skaife bashers don't let that get in the way of a good bash.

He's also there to give feedback ont he car to help them out with setup etc. Given his experience at HRT along with Grech they may unlock a couple of little details or tweaks. 0.4 off Bargs isn't bad at all, and not much behind Richo's FG

I guess it depends on if he's still on Holden's payroll. There's a number of ex-HRT staff at SGR, in fact it could be argued there are more of HRT's golden era guys at SGR than at HRT now. My gut says this was a "two way" test, as in there's been initial discussions between SGR and Skaife's manager (or Skaife himself if he's managing himself nowadays), SGR wanted to see what Skaife was worth and Skaife wanted to know how good an SGR drive would be. Skaife's comments seem to suggest that a Kelly Racing offer might be still on the table, but I'd be suprised if Skaife didn't take the opportunity to drive in the codriver warmup sessions.

i think anyone id dilusional if they think 30 minutes is going to really help them much now. while it will help abit i think to "really" help out he would need to do atleast a full test day with them.

Bloody good showing. Sure, it was 17th, but I am sure with a few more runs he will move up a bit.

GTR, unlikely Murph will do as you state, but Mark's record as a car developer is undeniable. The results may have slipped, but he has developed uncountable cars into race winners. A few sessions here and there and I reckon you'll see SGR into the top ten regularly.

Cant wait to see some pics!
